New Silent Hill

It would be great to see a new Silent Hill movie. I saw the movie before I realized it originated as a game series.

Ya'know, I never even knew it was snowing until this game. I always thought it was ash because of the fires.

Although in the first game it is remarked upon that it is snow.

I forget what it was in the first game. I know the fog was fog, but I don't remember if the stuff falling was ash or snow or what... In the movie, though, it was ash from the coal fires.

EDIT: I'm bored... what was the best/scariest part out of all the games for you? The cat in the first SH sacred the crap out of me, but I'd heard about it before then; the dog jumping at me from nowhere the first time I played, though, made me piss myself x-x

yeah cos she grasps it in her fingers and its all black, that's right yeah. Also, if you go on wikipedia, the new movie sounds quite good. Did anyone actually like any of the silent hills after SH3?

I like its focus on psychological horror based upon the player. If they go far enough with this, it could be one of the scariest games of this generation; possibly ever.

Not a remake, a reimagining. There's a difference. On topic, it looks good, but I really don't like some of the liberties they've taken. It looks like the Otherworld is all icy this time around? Not as cool as blood and rust.

Dahlia and Harry Mason were in the first Silent Hill.

Perhaps this will be some kind of prequel game?

Harry Mason and James Sunderland were one of the few protagonists that I actually liked. So I'l have to see how this one pans out.

I agree.
I didn't mind Harry, so who felt the need to give him sideburns and a pair of specs?

I'll play it, but I just know the poor protagonist guy is going to suffer many a death at my hands, seeing as there is no weapons, and the enemies relentlessly chase you and the minute I see one of those things I'm gunna panic and run in the wrong direction...

lol same probably, does look good though, wonder if harry goes to see a pshyciatrist after the events of Silent hill one, maybe thats what he is doing on the trailer.

This game looks great; the way they're doing the reimagining seems really interesting and compelling--I like the idea that you can't fight the monsters, you just have to run and/or hide. It seems like this is going to be more psychological. I don't have a Wii, but if the reviews for this game are good, I'll probably get one.

wow, and yes, the game seems much more psychological. Although a lack of enemy killing may dissapoint.
