Everyone in this thread keeps praising the aesthetic...but it looks more or less how I would think a Zelda game would look.

It's like a Call of Duty fan talking about HOW SUPER COOL NEW the perks are. But they're just variations on what was already there. It looks like OOT mixed with Twilight Princess.

Did I just see the Windfish? Hm... that's interesting.

The thing about spoilers in Zelda games is that if you have ever played a Zelda game you pretty much know what to expect... "There´s a sword that at some point becomes the Master Sword", does not really count I feel...

One thing though: At 0:55, was that the whale from Link´s Awakening on Game Boy?

EDIT: The Windfish! That´s the name...

Damn it all. I said I wouldn't buy another Zelda game until they at least looked interesting. Now I'm actually interested in buying this one. Unfortunately, I'm tapped out on the game budget for a while. So I'll sit back and wait to see the reviews on this one first.

Was the origin of the Master sword supposed to be the bit where the red beam was being fired at it? If so, then that's... really nothing. Looked more like it was charging the sword like the E3 trailers showed us.

As a side note, is the villain really called Graham? (I assume Ghirahim is the Japanese pronunciation)

What concerns me is apparent trend among entertainment companies, not just Nintendo but all of them, to explain everything. Somethings are so much more interesting and mysterious when we don't know where they came from or what they look like in the case of Tali's face in Mass Effect. Did Nintendo really need to explain the origin of the Master Sword or were we better of not knowing for sure? If you ask me, yes, yes we were.

I SWEAR TO GOD THAT WAS THE WINDFISH!

Does this mean that somewhere along the line, Link's Awakening tied into Ocarina of Time? (Didn't they say somewhere that Skyward Sword tied into Ocarina of Time? Or am I remembering incorrectly?)

WINDFISH! DUST JAR! THE ALMOST-MASTER SWORD!

What? Don't look at me like that, it wasn't the true master sword yet. The wings weren't extended, and since Windwaker already explained it, the wings must be open before it's really the sword of swords. Also,

I personally don't mind the spoiler bombs. Chances are if you care you won't watch trailers as you're already going to buy it and thus want nothing spoiled, and if you haven't decided to purchase it yet the big and bad things that will convince you are usually turning points in the game.

I for one, still can't decide. I don't have a Wii, and I don't know whether I can buy a console for a handful of games. Still a little while to decide.

Can´t recall... I don´t think we´ll really know until we play it.
But if they actually have made the effort to create some sort of continuity this would be far more interesting than the re-appearence of the Master Sword.

Zelda games really deliver in art department,
Every one of them has that wonderful look that brings you back to your childhood.
Like the way a Disney movie does,
Does anyone else think that?
All of them are unique though, it's never seemed like a rehash.

Don't mention the temples, and dungeons
Its a tribute and is just using recurring themes,
Everyone still loves them,
So its not an issue now is it?

Although Nintendo's been going through a rough patch,
The magic still seems to be there.

This one looks like its going to be special.
However, I am concerned with a few things,
Environments look a bit low res...but the colour makes a nice change of pace.

Everybody seems to be on board with this one, which is nice to see,
Nobody is complaining about the art style this time
Don't think its going to move any Wii units though.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Ahhh fuck, I was gonna pass on this but after watching 5 seconds of that damn trailer I now want it more then anything else. Fucken zelda and the formula that nintendo mastered.

Oh my... Do my eyes deceive me? Is that... COLOR?!

I'm not sure what it is, but this game looks more and more appealing the more trailers I watch. I used to think it looked gimicky but now I know why.

I might actually pick this up.
