New Torchwood Trailer Gets a Little Gun Happy

Well that can fuck right off. I barely enjoyed Torchwood as it was. Doubt I'll enjoy it any more with gunshots and explosions being used like whatever money they had in their budget was going to rot.

Why does everyone always complain that the Doctor surviving like that is stupid, but never even mentions the fact that Amy's parents were brought back the same way. If you're going to complain at least be consistent or you basically leave big holes in your argument

Why do I have to explain every point where it happens?

It is obviously easy to rightfully assume that if I have a problem with one instance of the bringing back, that I have problem with it happening with the parents as well.

Since the Doctor is the main character, I used his instance as the example. All other occurrences of the same thing should automatically be taken as things I have an objection to as well.

I really have and objection to the whole "rebooting" the universe thing. They could have easily created a sci-fiction sounding explanation for the Doctor to get out of this situation without things being "wish-fixed".

So you complaining about one specific thing means I have to assume you're actually referring to a handful of generic examples. That makes no sense.

And, fyi, they did give it an explanation. Which is why I'm bringing this up. The cracks pour out time energy (as seen in Time of Angels) and with a crack like that in her room Amy's head was full of the stuff. Which is why a scan of her memories brought back a perfect Rory instead of a mindless Auton. Because they're all wrapped up in time energy her memories are powerful things, so remembering her parents and the Doctor during a time when the universe was being reshaped (remember, the explosion happened on the day of her wedding, so its not like she was waiting years to bring the Doctor back) brought them back. Its not a simple hand-wave, it just requires you to think, pay attention and remember plot elements
