Yes and No. Personally I think they are misguided. You see they are taking a term that really does exist and using it as a boogie man for everything they can. It is sad really.
PS: I wonder how many of them realised the users symbol is one well known for US acts of aggression that are carried out on behalf of 'The New World Order?'

My take on the 'New World Order' is as follows and was formed after many years of watching political and economical struggles unfolding:
There is no World Order but that very term was invented by a group that DOES exist. This group, I forget the name but it starts with B, consisting of less then a dozen very rich US families created the 'New World Order' a few decades ago. They intended, by coining this phrase, to give themselves more credit then they really carry. The credit they wanted: To be leaders of a massive global infrastructure of elite rich, designed to consolidate and coordinate the moving of money. That is it, no world control, no implants in our heads, no hunting each of us down and locking us in concentration camps. They don't' give two *removed* about us in general, we are not even a thought that passes through their minds, be that a good or bad thing.
It is all about making even more profit on the world economy.
That is what the 'new world order' really is, nothing more then rich white old American farts looking to make a buck on top of their already insane family fortunes. All the while trying to con the rest of the rich old farts of the world with the promise that if they joined with them they would be joining with an organisation which controls the whole world economical structure. A lie, designed to get them even more money in the long run and a lie that no one else, but the anti-government crowd,* is buying into.
This new world order, even with massive attempts to bring around such a organisation, is a fable that will never come to pass.
Why?
The same reason there isn't a chance at a single world government either! Every single family involved has their own agenda and most of these families can NOT get along because their plans are at counter diction with each others. The inevitable infighting begins when these families get together and then the whole thing falls apart. If you will, think of how useless the UN is thanks to the veto power of the five and the fact that the UN has no real power to control it's own policies outside of countries that tolerate the UN presence.
Now imagine this 'New World Order' group as nothing more then an economical UN. Of course a few other ultra-rich families that would demand veto rights just to join and the whole NWO still would need the permission of the other ultra-rich families to carry out the economical policies that do many to get through the vote. This alone will ensure the NWO will have the very same affect of controlling the world economical system as the UN has of controlling the worlds political systems....

Sooo....
What we really have is large groups of rich families all fighting with each other in the same way that countries do. Many, most if not all actually, have deep hatreds for each other that stem far back as many of these families made their wealth backstabbing each other during the mercantile days. They just can NOT work well together, and will always try and undercut each other for their own personal, and greedy, gains. That is why, simply, the world is such a messed up place. Cause we DO NOT have a unified political or economical structure, causing all sorts of frictions that usually lead to war and death.
The real thorn in my side is that these rich families, be them from China or from the USA, all have political connections (particularly in the west where bribery is almost legal!) and use these connections as if the whole world is just a game. Wars are created to steal resources away from one family and give it to another. Some leader in a satellite country around Russia decides to put his hat in with the 'wrong' family and suddenly finds himself in the middle of a civil war. A brutal and murderous leader in east Europe is a 'good man' to the business interests in and no matter who he has raped and murdered he is protected against his own peoples uprisings by foreign military powers. Not to mention the crap that goes on in South American or the Middle East, two 'war zones' in the 'game of economics.'
*Being anti-government isn't a bad thing, the new technology we have can be utilised in ways we see in this film quite easily. There is also are more then enough 'road to hell paved with good intention' people in government that want to see this technology being utilised. So there really is a push within government to bring around a system that could track and control us.
Only thing is, this movement is not part of any world order group like people seem to believe.
They are just your normal, every day, police commanders or 'I will protect you' politician who is doing this out of their own misguided belief it will make us safer, something I do actually doubt seeing all these new systems have glaring bugs and flaws. In reality it will do nothing more then leave us vulnerable to corruption and abuses that come with too much power.
So yes, they do need to be resisted! If for nothing more then because the systems they will put in place do not have the safe guards to prevent corruption. They may never have the right safe guards to ensure some *removed* in position over these systems does not use them in a way that violates our personal rights and privacies. It is just human nature to use what power we have in whatever way we see fit, always will be, and these systems designed to 'protect us' are no different. They can and will be corrupted and so should be resisted in favour of systems that do not violate our rights or privacies... even if these older systems do make us feel a little more vulnerable.
I'm with Franklin on this matter, you don't give up liberties for the illusion of security.
And yet, still, these people are NOT getting orders from some shadowy body that controls the world. Let alone one consisting of rich people who don't give a damn about us, cause they already have trickle up economy in place that will not just ensure they get our money eventually but that we will be smiling when we purchase that nice shiny but useless, made with 'planned obsolescence,' peace of *removed* 'bling' we really don't need or want but sure as hell think we have a right to possess.

Now I am 'shaped', my DSL like is slower then dial up, cayse stupid rich Australian telecommunication companies knowing how to bleed every AUD out of us and have the permission of our government to do just that. This means I can't respond very well... took me half a hour to get one bloody page open! Sadly this is the way the infrastructure WE TAX PAYERS PAID FOR is utilised by corporate bodies to bleed us dry down here, that and other horror stories us Aussies could tell....
