Maybe instead of Russians taking over the world, it will be Russians taking over the UNIVERSE! But, the tricky part will be to get the new alien planets to have the same brown and gray color scheme as CoD's earth.

I'm thinking like 80's Afghanistan if it's Treyarch (Russki's HO!). Else it will probably be another Modern Warfare game that they'll pull out of their ass.

Maybe this time America will become the huge empire this time, and we'll have to play as a Russian solider trying to defend his home country against the evil enemies.

I'm just kidding, that would never happen.

CoD: Future Warfare.

Now with jetpacks!
Well they did snatch up a bunch of domain names a few years ago, one of them being Call of Duty: Future Warfare or something like that.

Hey, if they make a CoD set in the future where you can have gun battles in space (Like that one PC shooter i can't remember the name of) then thats alright with me.

Call of Duty: space warfare. There will be nazis, ninjas and robots, but no worries, America will save us once again.

Call of Duty: Time Splitting.

Go through time and fuck shit up with stuff from the future. Find Ben Franklin doing his shitty kite-key bullshit? Electric that dickhead with a battery! I can't think of anything else history related, but yeaaaaahh!

You do it because Ben Franklin is developing electricity or whatever for Nazis or Russians.

Crap. They got stale in general years ago, and to top it all off, it's Treyarch. World at War blew hard and Black Ops was unimpressive at best. I expect nothing.

It'll be exactly the same as every other CoD since Modern Warfare, but reskinned enough to kid you into believing that it was worth the £45(+£20 odd pounds worth of DLC).

I think it will slot in with Black Ops in one way or another.

Kinda wish the series would go back to WWII if it cant just die outright, but there you go...
I just can't really see WWII working again. We've already seen almost all possible campaigns and guns. They'd have to be really creative for it to work again, and CoD's not really known for creativity. (At least in regards to changing the formula.)
.
CoD: Dead Burma.
Oh, Oceanic Campaign was very fun, but some aspecs remained unexplored.

If Treyarch are making it, then I can see it being Black Ops 2, and if that is the case, I will certainly be staying far away from it.

The next plot will probably involve Nukes, some spec-ops guys that are actually terrorists undercover for decades, some major invasion into some random country what eventually backfires into getting america screwed over. Missions include nuking the planet from orbit from a secret spacestation facility. Eventually this leads to a shootout during the re-entry of the landing vehicle that is used to escape the exploding spacestation.
Also it will involve trying to capture a "target" by dropping explosives from one of the unmanned drones that recently surfaced in Iran (with a black and white CCTV image ofc).
Eventually the world is saved by killing the antagonist (probably a 1 eyed, scarfaced, scruffy looking guy with a badly impersonated russian or korean accent) by shooting the portable nukelauncher he was trying to use to blow up washington DC. Also did i mention it will involve nukes?

My guess is Black Ops 2. The Cold War has tons of history that has been largely unexplored in games. A game that covered, say, the late 70's-early 80's period would be cool: defectors in Prague, covert ops in Central and South America, that sort of thing.

If Infinity Ward continues the series, I expect they'll make a game out of "Operation Kingfish", which was referenced in MW3. I remember hearing some rumors that Ghost was going to get his own prequel game, so that might be it.

How cool would it be to have a COD game set in Afghanistan circa 1992-1998 where you fight as a Taliban against the PDPA and eventually the United Front in an effort to take over Afghanistan? Anyone? Anyone?

Whatever, I think I'm the only person in the world who knows how cool that would be. You could have a protagonist who is originally excited about the Taliban, but as the atrocities add up he becomes more and more disillusioned, eventually turning against them and getting killed at the very end.

But of course, we won't see THAT because the Taliban are "bad." After all, who cares that the people they fought to take Afghanistan were equally bad? It's this politicization of world history, the definition of "good" and "evil" that's not based on objective criteria, that makes current generation FPS stories so unrealistic and boring.

This.

It says in some of the files you can get in BlOps that the main character (his name escapes me at the moment) and the CIA agent that was questioning him go into hiding. So it'll probably be that. My guess is that it'll also link Nova-6 to the gasses released in MW3, if Nova-6 is mentioned at all.

But that's probably just wishful thinking on my part. It'd be pretty cool.

Also, a serious question for everyone that came in here to bash CoD- are you really that bored and lifeless? Go play Skyrim or something. I know I'm about to.
