He's certainly my choice, though. He's even got more of a possible moveset than most people realize...because most people wrongly ignore DMC2.
How you'd balance million stab is anyone's guess though
That'd be easy. Raphael already has something similar.

They should give the arbiter a shot, that would be excellent....oh and Samanosuke needs to be in something again because i'm beginning to suspect that i'm the only one who knows who that is.
I'm willing to bet you a considerable amount of money and panda-costumes that this isn't the case.

I heard they were originally planning to put Dante as a guest in SC3, but it didn't pan out.

Dante is alright for a choice but I would imagine that Vergil is a more proper figure for SC. Why? Because Vergil is constantly seeking power and the Soul Calibur would be something that Vergil would most definitely take an interest in. Not to mention he has an equally devastating moveset like Dante's that would easily translate well for SC.

True, but he might also be a little too close to Mitsurugi and Setsuka in style. As far as I remember, Dante would be the only one with a two-handed broadsword (not counting Siegfried's zweihander), and his potential moveset is really a lot larger.

Then again, if you gave Vergil Yamato, Beowulf, and Force Edge, it might work...

Also remember that during the fight with Arkham, he was no slouch using Dante's Rebellion sword. If anything, Vergil is just as competant with two-handed weaponry as he is with one-handed weaponry. Case in point - Nelo Angelo Vergil. Need I say more?

The first game i got was Soul Calibur 3, i thought it was pretty cool.

I was then severely disappointed when i saw what happened in Soul calibur 4.

so make the women SC3 size again, no stupid guest characters that are completely unsuited, and i think they should keep the dress up to custom characters only.

Failing that, how about some skies of arcadia characters?

I gotta say, I like the idea of having Hawke in it. And by Hawke, I would say the male one that's on the cover.

Hrmmmm... perhaps Bayonetta?.. Now that I have a reason to think of any random melee based characters.. i find myself mostly unable to..

Good to know =D. I'm always surprised more people haven't played onimusha, I mean it's resident evil with samurai....and pandas! What about that isn't made of brilliance?

I quite like the Ezio idea actually. He could be a fun character to play if done right, though it would admittedly feel wierd switching from the combat controls of AC to a full-on fighter style game. Or maybe Altair - I can imagine his back story being done as a series of journal entries, in a similar style to the codex pages Ezio finds, where he details his search for "a weapon of great power, spoken of in legend, capable of manipulating the minds of those around it. Potentially another piece of eden, it is regardless a great temptation to those who covet power and as such must be controlled or destroyed."

Although with that said, I think the Creed characters would seem quite out of place in the Calibur verse.

2 bladed robed figures
I reckon they'd do just fine
I meant more because of how they are presented in their home games - based in reality (or should I say "reality"), and the person playing the game is actually playing Desmond playing Ezio/Altair. Although they could get really meta and say that Desmond has hijacked the Animus to play Soul Calibur and imported Ezio into it or something...

I'm not saying it is a bad idea - I'm just pointing out that the feel of the assassins in Creed would be completely different to the feel they would have in Soul Calibur. And in all fairness I did offer suggestions as to how they could be justified in the SC verse (though admittedly the second might have been slightly flippant).
My other thought on the subject is: why the hell would an ASSASSIN, master of the surprise attack and instant kill, be in a fighting tournament? Wouldn't Ezio just wait til Nightmare was walking to the john after giving Maxi a well deserved thrashing, slip a poisoned blade into his spine and disappear into the night with Soul Edge for it to be never seen again (until the Templars unbury it in Assassin's Creed 3)?

On that note, what the hell is Taki doing in the tournament? She's a ninja. That's like assassining, just without the wenching!
