Well, my favourite nickname is Roulette, which I got because someone said I was as hard to predict as the game.
My distinctly less favourite one is Edward Cullen. Mostly because I'm pale, vaugley vampirish and pretty damn outspoken about disliking the book series.

Well, my facial muscles don't get much exercise, so in junior school my Year 4 teacher branded me with the name of 'Frowner'.

Subsequently, in high school my disdain for the people around me grew, and some random pupil gave the nickname of 'Scowler'.

Not very imaginative, I know.

I have several nicknames and like pretty well all of them.

Tim
TimL
Timandahalf
NintenTim64
Tim64
Smoke

All of these have a story behind them but I can't be bothered typing them.

'Pirate'
This is earned by many attributes, not the least of which are my naturally swarthy demeanor, an affinity for rum and wenches (or I suppose wenches and mead for you fellow Alestorm fans) not to mention the fact that I wore a bandana almost every day of freshman, sophomore and most of junior year

'PH Balance'
While I didn't necessarily earn this by any means, a friend of mine has been calling me this since freshman year of uni; a play on my first and last initials I had never considered up until that point

'Glass Man'
Once, I inadvertently swallowed a piece of broken glass

People usually just call me by name. I have been nicknamed "Subwoofer" by some though.

Mine is Coolly which is a play of my last name that is pronounced cool.

I do have a good nickname story. I was out with friends one Saturday night when one of the guys dragged the hole group over to where the Hoons (people who really love cars and showing them off) where. At one point me my friends where introduced to a girl who lets say, it was a surprise that she was standing she was so drunk. When i introduce myself miss heard me called me Jully after that i was called that a lot on the way home

Ninja
Parkour ninja
Monkey
Cat-man
Birdy

I got from various friends and acquaintance, the origins of the first four are fairly obvious but I got "birdy" because I have a bit of a habit of stretching my mouth wide-open, like a bird.

"Squirt" I got from my mum because I'm short.

One best friend calls me "Chick" , the other calls me "Fatso" and when we tried thinking up a nickname for me, we came up with "Whitey" (cause my last name's Whitworth, but "Whitty" sounds like some pokémon-junk name.)
My da calls me "Snorkette" (????) and for a short while I was called "Bill". :D

I used to have the nicks "creep" or "creepovich" because of my white skin and unhealthy habits(don't ask) and also because the guys who came up with lacked enough fantasy to come up with something better.
Some guys now just content themselves with shouting out my name slowly once they see me

Odd fact: The women on my mother's side of the family are "issued" male nicknames, I have no idea why.

As such, I have an "Aunt Ray" and "Aunt Ralph"

To continue this odd tradition, I've been given the nickname Murphy. *shrug*

My gf refers to me by names I won't post here, tho she does occasionally refer to me as "Nem" or "Nemmy", due to my penchant for using the nickname Nemu (or some variation) online/via email and such. Other RL friends of mine who I game with will refer to me as Nemu out of habit off-line, too. >>;;;

I've rarely been called anything other than Dolan, which is my surname, although I did get a pretty awesome nick name for few months when I was 18: Zeus. I was captain of the rugby team and in our annual dinner the vice captain decided to compare me to Zeus, that stuck around till I left school which was pretty cool!

He was a funny lad, I accidentally broke his nose with my fist once. Seriously. It was an accident.

At highschool I earned the name 'steamtrain' as I was big, fast and damn near unstoppable on the playing field.

At Uni, I somehow picked up the name 'Nate-dawg'.

At my old job the workshop guys would refer to me as 'the doctor'

"Tramp" is one from a non-friend of mine (You know, the long-term friends that you don't like anymore, but still befriend because of the history)

Ny name's Alasdair, so I get "Ali, Al, Ali G (CREATIVE, HUR HUR), Alistab, All-star, Aly-stare" and suchlike

Problem is, because I'm used to some people calling me "Al", I respond to anything like "Ow!" "Oh!" "Ah!" and anything else monosyllabic
