Suck it up and accept that you failed as a parent and you did a horrible job teaching your kid. I know it sounds cold, and it's tragic the kid died, but i'm sick of hearing stories like this. It's news like this that gives Fox News a hard on.

Anyone bother to tell him that WWE wrestlers cannot fly? This is like that movie where the little girl thinks Micheal Jordan can fly... I can't remember what that movie is... a cookie for anyone who knows.
Space Jam? That's the only movie i can remember him acting in.

Nine-year old boy.

Thirteen story apartment building.

Parachute he'd fashioned from string and a plastic bag.

Glad to see that natural selection is alive and well.

Where was his older sister when all of this was performed? Helping? Where did he get the parachute from? How long did it take him to cut the door alarm and how did he figure it out?

Hell, even I thought about jumping off stuff with a bag as a parachute when I was that age. And I didn't have any games that I was imitating. But I would have asked my parents beforehand, and this kid clearly didn't.

Look Who's Talking Now. Kirstie Alley & John Travolta, had the voices of Diane Keaton and Danny DeVito as the dogs...I loved that movie when I was a kid.
Damori Miles died after jumping from the roof of his 13-story apartment building with a parachute he'd fashioned from string and a plastic bag.
According to his best friend Shakar Murrel, Miles was attempting to imitate moves he'd seen in his favorite PlayStation 2 [http://www.us.playstation.com/] game WWE Smackdown vs. Raw. "He tried to do a swan dive like Jeff Harding (sic) does in SmackDown. That was his favorite game. He played it all the time," Murrel said. "That was what he was trying to do. If I would have seen him up there, I would have told him not to do it."
Uhm...what? How do you go from parachute made out of string and a plastic bag to imitating moves from a wrestling game? Last time I played one, I don't remember anything about parachutes... Why would this friend think it had anything to do with the wrestling game? Just because he plays it a lot? Does that mean that, since I play Kirby games all the time, that's the reason I eat a lot of food?

So... He tried to do a swan dive... how does the kid know that if he wasn't there to see him do it?

Natural selection: It works!
Very true, I mean if a 9 year old kid thinks he can fly off of a 13 story roof and live, I can't say I feel bad for him. Still, I can't imagine how guilty the sister feels and I do feel bad for the family.
