If this is for real (and it seems to be) I must certainly say this bugs me on the Copyright front. I think patent violations from nations like China are a big deal, and this isn't all that differant.
However, one of the reasons why it irks me is because Kevin Eastman is apparrently selling off his "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" stockpile over Ebay. It was mentioned here on The Escapist, and it struck me as the kind of move that would only be performed if he was desperate to make some money pretty quickly. Largely because the set could be broken up into lots and sold for more money than a single auction would likely net, and also because this kind of thing represents his life's work and you'd expect him to keep it around even in storage.
So basically if we've got a Russian creator/artist sucessfully producing a 30-volume set of TMNT children's books, and then presumably hiding behind Russian Law, while Kevin Eastmen is facing financial hardship... yeah I have an issue with that.
In many cases I don't think it's that big a deal due to multi-million and billion dollar industries even if it's still wrong, but I'd be guessing that between 30 books this guy made (or is making) more money than Kevin was looking for with his auction as he started it at $50,000.
