I like how it says Mario Kart Wii and Wii fit instead of Legend of Zelda and Mario Galaxy

Sales were a metric and both of those games sold TONS. Wii Fit's sales rival those of the PS3 and MKWii is AFAIK their highest selling core game (notorious liars VGChartz claim it's at 16 million copies sold).

There's no doubt in my mind Nintendo deserves the top spot. I have no desire to play either of the games listed next to their name, but I definitely respect the way their games are able to capture people's imagination.

I'm with you on this one tendo (hmm tendo....nin-tendo?). Even though people complain about rehashes, their games are still fun. Isn't that why we play video games in the first place?

I think they're pretty representative of a certain side of Nintendo. For the more serious gamers like ourselves Nintendo is very much Mario and Zelda, but for a lot of other people, people who probably skipped out on the N64 and Gamecube and ostensibly came around again for the Wii, Nintendo was also Duckhunt and the Power Pad.

EA featured 3 times in the top 20?
Valve and Bethesda taking low scored in comparison?
Treyarch in 10th place when InfinityWard are nowhere to be seen in the top 20 despite releasing the best CoD games to date....

This is exactly the reason I take very little notice of these types of lists... they're often comprised of number cunching retards with very little knowledge of gaming and a very, to my opinion, skewed sense of reality.

IW did not release any games in 2008, making them ineligible for the list.

It doesn't specificaly state 2008 releases so my bad..... but my point still stands, Bethesda and valve so low? Treyshit (treyarch sorry) even in the top 50 after the way they butchered the CoD series yet again?
