I think this is an okay sytle of graphics for the Wii. I mean, the best looking Wii games (No More Heroes, Okami, etc.) are good looking because they don't try to stress the Wii's graphic limitations, but just work around it. It works, and the results are always pretty.

I'm not against the art style, but i think they could tone down the vibrant level of the colors a little bit so its not burning your retina's, the whole place loots like its radioactive. Also, Despite the fact that I don't mind the art style, cause it depicts "fun" as Zelda should be. Having said that though, they could have come up with a much better explanation than "it makes the game better". While that may or may not be true..it doesn't sound like they put much thought into how that sounds to other people/gamers.

Huh. Water colors can't save this franchise.
Your implying the franchise needs to be saved. Last time I checked most Zelda games have been good.

Personally, I find this art style charming. It's like a mix between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, with just a dash of Oot. It also reassures me that Zelsa won't turn into an M-rated series. Zelda is not hardcore- it's about imagination and boy scout-esque heroism. M-rated Metroid? Sure. M-rated Zelda? No. I loved Twilight Princess, and I don't mind Zelda covering dark material (Majora's Mask was fantastic), but I'm glad to see Zelda returning to it's roots.
Theres a difference between a Mature game and a M-rated game. LOZ:TP had a darker, mpre mature story, which I liked. I would like to see some changes to the franchise, Foul language, gore, sexuality... I DO NOT WANT THAT!!!! But I do want Zelda to explore more serious plots.

I see the wind Waker as a means to please two different audience, going with TP will allow the matured and older audience to enjoy a much more mature story, the WW path will allow a more light-hearted story for younger audience.

Was the last time you checked Majora's Mask? Chalk it up to personal taste, but I haven't liked any of them with that one being the possible exception.

After twilight princess LOZ would have to completely change in order to make me interested again. Its just the same every time, round and round we go beating ganon and saving a useless princess every damn time like some sort of reoccurring nightmare.
You've played Link's Awakening, haven't you?

Are people honestly complaining about the Art style? Shallow shallow "hardcore" gamers...

I'm fine with the style, looks interesting and unique(-ish), just make sure the core game mechanics are good.

I love how people are doubting the integrity behind the decision to implement this art style. YES, NINTENDO ACTUALLY DOES TRY TO USE AN APPROPRIATE ART STYLE TO MATCH THE EFFECT OF THE GAME'S ATMOSPHERE AND GAMEPLAY STYLE.....unlike some other developers who are trying to compensate for mediocre gameplay by attempting to wow audiences with photorealism time and time again.
