Well, I stated that it was significantly underpowered in addition to being overpriced. Power-wise, it is far-closer to the 7th generation than it is to its 8th generation peers. If we were to accept the idea that "last gen" tech is garbage compared to current gen tech, then this wouldn't be wrong. However, I would be hesitant to call last gen tech garbage, considering that I can still play games from 2005 on the 360 without wanting to gouge out my eyes (I'm thinking of Oblivion and Bioshock here).Mr.Mattress said:See, you had actual complaints. But Crazy Gamer is what we're talking about when we're talking about Blind Nintendo Hate.
You point out the WiiU Was overpriced on Launch, I would incline to agree with you.
Crazy Gamer says the WiiU is a "Piece of Last Gen Garbage", which I strongly disagree: I own one, it certainly is fun, and the Graphics definitely look better then Last Gen.
Your point of conflict with Crazy Gamer seems to be more with the inflammatory choice of words rather than actual content. While I completely agree that inflammatory language generally points to biases of the individual, I do not think it detracts from the actual validity of points being made. It merely detracts from the apparant[/B] validity of his/her side by calling their motives into question.
Where I'm more fascinated at the business behind these mistakes and the consumer market response to them, that individual appears to have a personal claim in the matter for some reason. I'd much rather all companies bring their a-game a
I didn't say it has no games. I said it launched with almost no games. The WiiU does have a few winners in the mix. It's just precious few and it took a long time to be more than 1 or 2 in my opinion. Too little too late even. You point out that it has No Games. I agree, although I would also say the few games it does have are excellent.
Hyperbole.A more accurate statement would be to come up with fresher IPs that haven't been floating around since the 80s. You can only get so far on nostalgia.Crazy Gamer says that Nintendo needs to "Make Better games that weren't Constant Rehashes of the Same Game 100 Times in a Row". First, None of Nintendo's franchises have hit 100 installments yet.
I think he's saying the exact same thing, but in a poor manner. Nintendo has admitted that they haven't been making enough new IPs and are largely reorganizing their company to accomodate that need. I don't think they need to stop producing Mario games or any of their major IPs. I just think they need to branch out and make more. Two, a lot of these "Rehashes" have a lot of changes to them, not just visually but Mechanical-wise. And Third, a lot of these "Rehashes" are Great games.
Would you not at least agree that Crazy Gamer wasn't right in what he said?
It does them no help that their third party support is practically non-existent. At least if they had 3rd party then it wouldn't be anywhere near as noticeable. But as is, this is one publisher holding an entire console aloft. That's a problem. No publisher is that big. Sony, Microsoft or anyone else would be in trouble here.
