Okay, so what kind of innovative step were you hoping for?
It's Nintendo's job to be innovative, not mine, but Joycons that are comfortable to hold would be a start. Every console since the Wii up until now has had a radical new feature: Motion controls, two screens with touchscreen control, glassesless 3D, the ability to switch from handheld to living room, and I'm sure the Wii U had something too. I don't really care that much because I refuse to pay $80 for 7 year old games, so Nintendo and I have been separated for some time, but it's still disappointing that they've ceased to try to innovate.

You're going into this assuming that you've seen all there is to see. Nintendo may be making an iterative system, but I'm willing to bet they've got more up their sleeve like they always do

is what the current rumourmongering is looking at for now
Hmmm, I can see where DF and such are getting the PS4 comparisons from. This does seem like it could be in the same ballpark, any shortcomings in raw power compensated by newer tech. Bit weird memory bandwidth is so much less despite significantly faster memory. Must have a small bus, I guess.

I've noticed that with nVidia based GPUs for the past two generations. My 3080 has a 384bit bus, the 4080 and 5080 have 256bit yet the memory speed went from 19Gbps to 23Gbps to 30Gbps respectively.

I guess we'll see what we can see.
