Nintendo Weighing Majora's Mask, Link to the Past Remakes

Majora's Mask + a Majora's Mask Master Quest. It must be done.

If they WERE going to do ALTTP, I would demand it be remade similarly to how OoT/Majora's Mask looks. I cannot stand ALTTP as it currently stands.

This would be the time where I would normally link to the many half page exaltations of majora's mask, but I don't have the document that has them all together with me at this time.

So, instead, I present to you what we would get if majora's mask was remade without having profits get in the way:

... Holy mother of Space Jesus. I suppose that that would finally give me a reason to buy a 3DS.

That was my reaction, but with more pants ripping.

Anyways, I've been saying I won't buy a 3ds till MM for it comes out ever since nintendo hinted at such a thing.

Hell, i'd buy 3.

I'm so glad I'm not a Nintendo fanboy and even happier I've never properly played a Zelda game. I can't fault it as a business move, they know people will unflinchingly buy this stuff en masse so it ensures max profits with minimal effort. They really are an evil genuis of a corporation.

So, when old films are ported to DVD and Blu Ray, do you scorn at them, too?

Majora's Mask. Never actually played either but Majora's Mask just has so many things that makes it different from the standard Zelda formula.

And I've always heard that Link to the Past isn't all that amazing.

I have a solution. Do the remake of Majora's Mask but have A Link to the Past as reward for beating the game. Also include a Majora's Mask Master Quest. DO IT NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just so long as Master Quest doesn't give you one day cycles. Ouch.

Though I will just say, I have no problem with HD re-releases of games (though from what I hear Silent Hill 2 was ruined with HD) but remaking a game is a different issue. Even when the game isn't going to be changed vastly. Remaking a game in my mind is on a par with a shot-for-shot remake a classic film. And yes, those I scorn at.

A Link to the Past was the last Zelda game I played that actually FELT like a Zelda game, Ocarina of Time wasn't even close. I didn't even bother with Majora's Mask because of how disappointed I was with Ocarina of Time.

Bleh. Since they've run out of neat ideas for Zelda, I don't see much reason to not remake two of the best titles in their series.

Though they had better be careful with Link to the Past; that game is one of the few sprite-based games that *has* aged well for un-ironic reasons.
