Isn't that catching up? Not really a next step JK. I had toShapsters said:Its pretty simple, a Wii, with actual good graphics.
You are correct, there is more than graphics and controls that make a game good (i.e. Wind Waker) but, nowadays, Graphics are what the majority are interested in, sadly. I still think Nintendo should at least attempt to produce a Wii game with absolutely no Motion Sensitive gimmicks in it...just once...and let the public see how they feel about it. This might warrant them a shot at 'stepping back' if you take my meaning, getting out of Motion Sensitivity...and going back to 'holding the controller with your hands, instead of flailing around making my neighbors think I'm on drugs'4guy5montag1 said:They take over the world....
Or put out a console for serious gamers (don't flame please I'm not tryin to be a jerk)

Shapsters is right, the Wii is really underpowered. I find it ironic that the pinnacle of a "casual game" company or one that plans to market to the broadest audience is one of the most dearly beloved by hardcore gamers. Though it sounds paradoxical, it's true, how hardcore do you have to be to still play games from the 80's and early 90's, when games far superior in graphics and controls are out now? Though you could argue that the Wii is just Nintendo deciding to give developers their imagination and the basic tools to keep up with the next generation of consoles, remember that the NES, the SNES and the N64 were all revolutionary for their technical advancements. The Wii does have in depth motion sensors which Nintendo took a gamble on and won, but in terms of graphics and regular controls that don't come off as gimmicky, I feel that it's just not there. And yes I realize that there's more to a game than graphics and controls, but still Nintendo needs to step their game up IMO
Watch out. I liked the Dreamcast too, but it failed. So will the Wii.Nostalgia said:Watch out.
