I hope nintendo actually makes games again.
I was a nintendo fanboy all my life untill the wii. I camped out in -25F weather in alaska to get the wii opening night and to play zelda. How did nintendo thank me by putting a nice knife in my back. I enjoyed the game cube a lot and own a lot of good games for the system but for the Wii i only own 6. nintendo is only worrying about party gaming and leaving us (the fanbase that got them through the cube year's) out to dry. When i realized this i left council gaming all together (pc games rule).
If nintendo started making good single player games again i would start playing again but alas i do not see that happening, nintendo has become like blizzard, they dont make new games anymore and milk there current games to death.

Nintendo seems to me like an old celebrity trying to squeeze some resemblance of life from its career. It had its 15 minutes of fame with the big debut album S.N.E.S. which had huge singles like ZELDA,Super Metroid, and Super Castlevania. When it got irrelevent it came out with its second hit Nintendo 64. It revolutioned the pop music...err sorry gaming industry but its 3rd album was at the time a little more fun than staring at a cardboard box painted purple. So it came out with its comeback hit Wii. The only reason it got so popular is by catching children with gimmicky motion censors and the illusion of 'exercise' which especialy got the attention of the waddling, sweaty, Mc-kids of american parents. The somewhat unresponsive controls and swiftly-and poorly-made games which stopped being fun unless you just bought the Wii or was drunk combined with worse online capapbilities than a toaster make me wonder just why its so popular. The zelda TP is no more fun on wii than gamecube and the miis dont really do anything...OK the mario Kart was pretty cool. And the harddrive of the wii may even be a little worse than its forgotten older brother GC. The fact the shigiru something-or-another has the balls to call it a next gen console in itself shows you ...wait. im a little off topic. whats this about? OH YEAH Nintendo shouldn't leave the gaming buizz(lazy speak for buisness) it should go back to its old ways. fun innovative and colorfull with great mechanics AND NO POWERGLOVE, my bad WII-MOTE. think how great it would be if we had a legend of zelda in ACTUAL next gen graphics. Oh wait, they ran over that fanchise with a train. litteraly. Well Mario! imagine mario being photo-realistic! the sweaty, bulldog and turtle murdering,presumably bad smelling plumber. Well how about Castlevan...no those suck in 3d. Never mind Nintendo should put a gun to its head and pull the wii-trigger. of course the thing is so unresponsive it'll probably jam.

The Wiimote is stupid. It's not a gaming device, it's not fun, it's a waste of time. Period. It's a distraction for kids and old people, and it's been soiling the game world with kiddy games. That's what the damn game should be about.
They should just stop trying to appeal to everyone with seperate games and make games for everyone in a few single installments.

I think they'll make a Wii2 or something, like DS to DSLite to DSi. Also they've added a handful of things, like new controlers that only work with specific titles.

I was a big Nintendo fan up until the Wii (and I was even excited about the Wii until it came out), but I just feel anymore like Nintendo completely betrayed their traditional demographic. If Nintendo wants to make a system that's better than the Wii, they could start by making a system that you can play an actual game on. And if not, they can devolve into the console PopCap with Wiimote waggling action.
Wii bashers are so hysterical. They act as if Nintendo has betrayed them when it only did what it has done since the beginning. MAKE INNOVATIVE GAMING TECHNOLOGY!!!! For godsake, if Nintendo weren't out there gaming would be a stale dumpster filled with boobies and gore. This. i am so tired of all this nintendo hate, every one of their games they made have been amazing, Super Mario Galaxy was the best mario Game since super mario 64 and might even be better. Metroid was a great title and so was twilight princess. The animal crossing was not revolutionary but it in no way ruined the series. or even hindered it. SSBB was also a great addition to their library. And that is only the nintendo made games, games like no more hero's, madworld, and House of the Dead: Overkill. They all utalise the wii mote perfectly. The problem is people think that since the wii is also catering to the non hardcore it can no longer be a hard core system, but that's marketing.Jeronus said:

Bottom line If you shovel through all the shit put out by third party's you find a lot more than a "few" gems in the library, and have you ever noticed all the good games do not require the use of much motion control, they use just the right amount to make the game interesting and fun without having you shake your arm like forty year old man in his basement.
Now on topic, I would say a wii with better graphics, keep the motion sencing Nintento and prove everyone wrong ^_^.
