I don't think any PC gamers are going to miss Dead Space 2.
I'm certainly going to. I'm not about to start signing petitions or anything, but I really enjoyed the first Dead Space and I was looking forward to the sequel. So it's definitely a disappointment.
Same here. I mean, I played the console version too, but that was just because I wanted achievements. The game was damn good fun, and since my console is currently OOC... I'm kind of stuck on the PC for now.

Not that that's a bad thing :D

damn, sorry guys, not tryin to sound like a jerk or anything, but this just rehashes the fact that it looks like pc gaming is dying.
One epic game doesnt come out with everything you want and another average game doesnt come out for the pc and you think its the end of PC gaming? Thats jumping the gun a bit dont you think?
I would be waiting until blizzard decide to pack in some servers before I was worried about the PC gaming market.

As for Dead Space 2 not coming too the PC, does it realy matter that much? Are legions of PC gaming fanboys going to go nuts, launch their rigs out of an air mortar and buy a consol because a DEAD SPACE game doesnt come to them?

I don't think so.

Dead Space was a fun game I will miss it not getting a PC sequel the technical issues are easily solved or ignored with a 360 controller

At least I can still play Resident evil 5
Bioshock 2
Crysis 2
Dawn of war 2: Chaos rising
Mass Effect 2
Star Craft 2
AssCreed 2

One day I'll go hunt down and punch every fucking console fanboy executive who think it's a good idea to release cliffhangers and then make them platform exclusive in their face.

Was looking forward to this game, plus I have a 360 controller, so the controls are just fine for me.

Please elaborate in how PC gaming is dying when it is infact moving away from mainstream which isn't all bad as with mainstream coems more people. This is good and bad as you get the XBL effect.

I regret paying $10 for Dead Space on my PC. I can't even be bothered to finish it.
I don't like to dismiss other people's opinions outright (well, I do, but I try not to) but I'm having a hard time taking this statement seriously.
Ok, maybe I don't regret the $10 all that much. It's only $10 after all.

But it's true that I can't finish it. For me it's tedious.

That, I can believe. I enjoyed it enough to pick up the sequel (if I could) but I can quite easily see where others wouldn't. Pricing has a lot to do with it too; I loved Mirror's Edge at 20 bucks but wouldn't have been nearly as happy about it if I'd picked it up when it was 60. Did you at least squeeze ten bucks worth of mileage out of it?

PC gamers get enough great stuff. Like they'll miss this "survival shooter". Note: Dead Space was NOT survival horror. There is no horror in "startle" scares. Just surprise and flinching.
Ugh. This again. Horror =/= Scary. Just because it doesn't scare you doesn't mean that it isn't a horror game. Like Doom 3, that was not scary AT ALL, but it is still a "horror" game. Going by that, I had no trouble surviving in it, so it isn't a "survival" game.

OT: Oh well... hopefully it will eventually come. I hate playing shooters on consoles.
Wait...people tried to classify Doom 3 as "survival"? What. The. Fuck.
Well, "things jump out of closets every thirty steps but it's okay because you have a larger arsenal than mmany world governments" wouldn't fit on the box.

More on-topic... I'm mildly disappointed. I picked up Dead Space on the cheap on Steam, and while it couldn't really compare to my venerable favorites like System Shock 2, it did have some good moments to it and I was never upset that I bought it (unlike, say, Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green, which was a molecularly-condensed pile of suck). I won't go wailing my anguish into the night, but I will sigh, and say "meh".

Honestly, games like this aren't made for the PC. They are clunky at best. Strategy gaming and hack n slash is where its at on the PC anyway. You aren't going to be saying that "PC gaming is dying" when Starcraft II and Diablo III come out.

Meh, Dead Space 2 won't be as good as the first since they're selling out and making it an action shooter and trying to copy the festival of mediocre, Call Of Duty.

I'm going to play Crysis now :)

Yeah the 1st of everything it's usually the most creative, like MW1. Sure wasn't THAT great but MW2 was basically a copy with more nuking and dieing.

And Bioshock 2 was basically just Bioshock 1, just this time you start as a Big Daddy instead of that thingy you do half way through the end and get a stupid nail gun as a primary weapon
