If it's true, then its a load of crap.

If it's a legitimate version of the game, the only thing you could ever ban is multiplayer. I am pretty sure they are not allowed to ban you from your single player experience because of anything you do.

One more reason I play the games on consoles.

This is the kind of thing that leads to supermanga stressed out people massacring a load of poor innnocent bastards who had nothing at all to do with the shit they got dropped on them...
I remember being lucky that the Game store I used to go to were all friends of mine when after impatiently waiting for what seemed eons I couldnt install Bioshock(I had no internet) and this mysteriously coincided with Game refusing to give refunds for PC games(and it was before the time they started to ask the "are you sure you can run this" question.
I seriously lost my rag,and had they been strangers,on looking back I wouldnt at all have blamed them for calling the cops,the ERU(Irish Swat team),the bomb squad and possibly superman.
ahem,I'm a much calmer,more reflective person now,and Ironically its the fact I have access to a massive arsenal of real life guns and weapons that I can shoot the shit out of targets with nowadays that stopped me from being megapissed after my 30th attempt at getting Silent Hunter 5 to work on Win 7 x64.
tl/dr EA are lucky this dude wasn't a complete psycho.
