No normality? I think you've mixed up your ideas mate. On this forum it's normal to behave and talk the way we do. Problem solved.
Yeah but it just seems so weird that probably like 75% of people here have some sort of (serious ish) disorder, whereas I know only like 3 people with a disorder irl..
That really depends on how many people you know. I know quite a few people with various disorders, of various severities, offline. Though I grew up in a fairly well off neighborhood, so underdiagnosis certainly wouldn't be a problem. (Also, I was diagnosed with some learning disorder or another. I was supposed to be fairly poor at English and really excel at maths. Turns out, the opposite became true. Having been around people with various conditions may have made me more aware of the prevalence than someone who didn't need alternate forms of instruction in grade 2 English.)

Plus, if you've ever worked as a camp counselor, chances are, you're going to be short on integration counselors...

Actually I think it would be abnormal to not have at least one thing wrong with you. Even something minor like quasi add or semi ocd.

Yeah. Rational, social, and well adjusted people are freaks.

Well I think the things you mentioned are a bit more than "minor", but you're right that it's abnormal to not have something wrong with you. Everyone has their problems they deal with. Maybe we're abnormal for being willing to share our problems with other people, but others still have them. They're just too self-conscious to admit them.

How is normality even achievable to any human being? Every person has a unique personality that differs from everyone elses. There are the blackheads that take up most of society that think there is a set way of doing things and straying from those way's in considered abnormal. When in reality, humanity grows by seeking out new things, and by staying normal and reforming to a blockhead would be to stop evolution in it's tracks. On top of this, the abnormal is fun, why would you want to live life trying to be someone else? As for the disabilty thing, the reasoning is the majority of intelligent people have at least one mental disorder, and i truly mean no offense to anyone.

Show me these perfect human beings. I think your problem might be retardation. See if a doctor could prescribe something for you.

I had a teacher tell me that conversing with yourself is a sign of intelligence, most likely because she seems to be a borderline schizophrenic. Normal is very objective, and it seems that even the most normal of people have some sort of disorder nowadays.

Normal these days fits in the same category as Common Sense: the mythical cabinet. There you can also find truthful and consistent politicians, Duke Nukem Forever, the Ultimate Question, etc.
Normal is boring anyway. Embrace what makes you different, it lends to your individuality, and people too stuckup to like that in you can stick their nose in a beehive.
As for the disorders that set you apart, OCD, Parkinson's, Schizophrenia, and others: they are tough to deal with, but life isn't meant to be easy. Plenty of people in high profile careers (I think you can name a handful, and even be surprised at ones that do carry a burden yet keep it out of the papers) carry on with what they enjoy doing. When you don't let it stop you, that makes you the stronger person than someone who's more concerned about you not being "normal."

Um, irony. Ever heard of it?

Why're you accusing me of being retarded? When did being a dick seem like a good idea to you?

I don't appreciate being called retarded by someone who can't understand my humor.

Human condition unfortunately.
Yep. Give someone apparent anonymity and have them respond to a detached block of text - you get an instant asshole.

I'm one to talk, though.

I have post traumatic stress syndrome, a horrible temper, and I have major trouble getting sarcasm. Am I normal?
