April 16th is our 200th episode and we're calling it good. It's been planned that way long before any of the other shows left, so you can believe they stole all of our thunder.Goldjit said:What was that message at the end? April 18th? Are we losing this show too!?
Ahhh, it's replacing it. I shall miss No Right Answer. I shall look forward to the new show.Firefilm said:April 16th is our 200th episode and we're calling it good. That being said, we're not leaving, just doing a new show for the Escapist. It's a cartoon that we've been working on for years now, and felt it was time to try something new. Keep in mind, we've been doing this for almost 4 years, and now between Chris living 3 hours away, all three of us having kids, and Nintendo restricting the topics Chris can even talk about, it was time.
I hope you stick around to watch our new show though!
They're drinking one glass; it takes about 6 litres to pose a threat to a fully grown man. They'll be fine.Full Metal Bolshevik said:Have you ever tought about Water intoxication while doing the drinking round? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication)
No? OK, don't think about it then.
Question: Since the cartoon seems to be video game-based, does that mean there's going to be a limit to any Nintendo-based jokes/references considering Chris's position in relation to Nintendo?Firefilm said:April 16th is our 200th episode and we're calling it good. Holy shit! I did not know that that was actually a thing... and now, I wish I still didn't know... Good thing I didn't know when I was underage... That would have been awkward...Full Metal Bolshevik said:Have you ever tought about Water intoxication while doing the drinking round? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication)

Come on Chess isn't even the best Chaturanga style game, and it certainly isn't even close to the deepest or most complex game.Signa said:Apples to Spinach guys. You might like one more, but there are very different reasons to enjoy each game.
Personally, I worship chess as one of the best games ever made. Not just because of its age, but the depth of gameplay as well. It's strategy at its finest, and while I wouldn't say it's easy to learn (moderately easy), it is completely difficult to master.

Try Go. It's even easier to learn than chess as the pieces don't move unless they are captured, but it is hard as hell to truly master. It's a total change in thinking when you have to concern yourself with territory rather than the opponent's pieces.l0lwut said:Chess will always be my favourite board game. There is just something majestic and pure about it, something no other board game has captured for me. It's also the perfect example of 'easy to learn, (very) difficult to master'.
