It might not be related, but when I saw Enemy at the Gates... why were all the Russian soldiers from England? The Germans had German accents!! C'MON! Was Russian really that hard for them to fake? Just reverse a v and a w here and there, roll your r's a little, and stress your vowels!

More related, I do hate fake/butchered Irish accents.

i hate when us americans try a britsh accent, since it is terrible. And the worse is we think we're good at it.

Swedes trying to speak Swedish. But to be honest their horrible lack of mastery of the language itself is even worse. I'm ashamed of my country. Kudos to the Swedes who don't suck.

Probably anyone in any game with an Irish accent, apart from Atlas in Bioshock.
Thank you, it's just so true. I'm pretty much convinced they actually got someone irish to do that voice, because no developer seems to get the damn thing right!

German... especially Germans speaking English. They just sound weird..... and creepy. Like the Nihlists on The Big Lebowski. And German is an ugly sounding language anyways.

I hate fake Irish accents in films, it's the most irritating thing in the world, no one talks like that.
Bajaysus, Bagorrah! The craic is mighty, the craic is good!

OT: The archtypical "gay" accent. I don't know what it is, and I know for a fact that there are thousands upon thousands of gay men who are NOT affected by this, but every other gay person I've met or seen on telly or just HEARD, whether they're from Brooklyn, Birmingham, Bejing or Bangkok, adopt this strange "hyper-happy qausi-californian" cadence.

I don't know why, but all the exaggerated accents on CSI:NY annoy me. They may not even be that terrible, but...maybe it's because I live in in NYC.

A lot of Englishmen when they try to sound American sound Texan. No matter where there character is supposed to be from. This bothers me.

The worst accent I have ever heard was this one

normally I don't hate anyone for their accent but for some reason I just plain hate that girls voice. In another case I was somewhat entertained a few years ago when a Frenchman was visiting and made fun of my mother for the accent she sported (Pacific northwest American if you want to know) when she was speaking English. It was one of those "Do you really have the right to make fun of anyone's accent right now Mr. Peppe le Pew?" moments.
Wow. I only watched just over a minute of that video but that was enough to make me want to kill myself! It's stuff like this that makes me lose all hope for humanity.

OT: I was playing Fallout 3 and was talking to Moriaty in Megaton, damn thats a BAD Irish accent! I'm certain there was another person in that game with an awful accent too but I can't remember who. I think the rule is that Fallout has bad accents. Then again, voice acting has never been overly strong in Bethesda games...

Can I vote for my own accent? I am actively trying to stop it, kinda succeeding, but most people in Northern Ireland sound like this;

"There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other peoples cultures... and the DUTCH."

Seriously though... people that use that mock form of speaking when making fun of rednecks.

Maybe you'll get better when you realise there is no such thing as a "British accent".

When Dutch people speak English, no matter how well they mastered the language it still sounds silly.

My own (Scottish) certainly, firstly because I have to listen to it a lot and secondly because it's fairly terrible in its own right.

When I first meet people I try to talk slowly and clearly but I judging from how they react I think they must assume I have some kind of autism or something.

Every single mexican in Red Dead Redemption. Being mexican myself, I can say that not only those "mexicans" speak a very weird spanish, full of phonetical AND grammatical errors... but also their english is incredibly awful. (I mean, I know not many mexicans speak with perfect english accent, but dear god... that was just awful)

Actually, that was the only thing I despised about the game. Until I got to Mexico, I thought the game was really awesome. But the second a "mexican" opened his mouth, I had to turn off the console. The awful english I can forgive... but I really thought that Rockstar would, at least, hire voice actors that actually spoke spanish, instead of people that only read a badly written script. (Just the spanish parts. After I got out of Mexico the game returned to be really awesome =P)

(PS: Forgive my english, if anything I said is grammatically wrong... I'm still learning =P)

I don't know where its from in England but there is a part of England that say words inncorrectly, It makes me think, if they are from England they are the ones that are supposed to use it properly considering they invented it.
I'm Aussie and I speak better English than most English people, even the Welsh backpackers at work say Australian speak better English than some English people.
The Top Gear guys are fine, so where ever they are from that isnt it. It's somewhere else.
The way Aboriginal's speak English is very very strong Aussie accent, I can't even understand them half the time.
If any of you know who Matt Bowen from the North Queensland Cowboys Rugby League side is you will know what I am talking about.
