1. Holy crap, that explains so very much. & 2. This one was a miss for me, guys. But it's fine. Happens to every one at some point. Probably should have TOLD us it was the CD Link, though. Although, admitedly, the opening bit WAS pretty funny.Firefilm said:Pretty muchK.ur said:I guess, this is CD Link.
The person in the title does not always have to be a protagonist.Solkard said:So the legend of Zelda, is actually the story of a princess who gets kidnapped, then sits around waiting, while someone else entirely goes on an arduous journey to rescue her? Shouldn't the actual game be you wake up, get kidnapped, then spend a few days or weeks waiting in a dungeon/tower/room, then someone shows up out of the blue and takes you home?
We would totally accept scripts! Let's see what you got!Clankenbeard said:I understand the complexities of making an animated cartoon for the internet. I've tried it. (That burnt toast thing to the left was part of one of my attempts.) It is hard. It is time consuming. Especially when you have to make new art for it every week. Luckily, I never had that sword dangling over my head. And still, I wasn't very good at it-humor, schedule, or animation quality.
This episode was a complete miss for me. There just wasn't much humor in it. I'd say you guys have a solid concept here. But, you need better/funnier/fresher material before you spend the effort to animate what you have. Nothing is more crushing to an artist than to spend a lot of effort and resources to get to a joke that isn't appreciated. Yes, it is easy for me to say this from the comfort of my completely safe judging chair.
Keep after it. I respect the hell out of what you are doing. Will you accept scripts? Like people write up their version of what your show would look like with a given character and then you edit/gut it to your liking? Just curious.
Aside from the other criticisms in this thread, I think you guys are starting to hit the stride on pacing and content. Though yes the Zelda/Link mixup joke may be old, IMO its still funny if used right. It felt organic and not forced to me.Firefilm said:Link Peaked in High School
This week Link throws a hissy fit at being confused with Zelda, and shows little awareness that the names of his games are the source of his frustration.
