Sid Meier's Pirates! for the Commodore Amiga... Good times.

Also, Game and Watch.

And let us not forget about Ocarina of Time.

I've carried a few good memories with me from the N64 title, Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I've yet to meet an adventure game which carried me on as great of an epic as that did.

Ah, Sid Meier's Pirates! That was an awesome game.
Reminds me of a time when game-play ruled over Graphics.

I remember waiting 20 minutes for my old computer to boot up so I could play a cracked copy of Doom. It was so buggy and full of holes in the code, I could never beat the thing (mind you, I was only about 8) but I loved just running around shooting the hell out of everything.

Christ you people are young. The first game I remember playing is the original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? on the Apple II.

hahaha I remember that game too. No matter how long it would take you to teleport out of there; the bad guys would always just miss you :p

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

I played that oh-so-much when I was four, although after every second arrest I made the game forced you to answer trivia about the American Civil War. A four year old New Zealand boy doesn't know a thing about America, much less where it is or about its civil conflicts. I only ever got up to the rank of Sleuth.

Contra III: The Alien Wars.

I spent many hours plugging away at my SNES just trying to beat the god damn helicopter level with my brother.

Also I would have to say Super Ghouls 'N' Ghosts. The psp remake didn't quite live up to the nostalgia level i had going for it.
