Well I've been driving back into a few PS2 games lately (which is retro for me, my first console).

I've just tried to get back into Silent Hill 2 again. It's brilliant, but so scary I'm not sure I'll ever complete it without freaking out and giving up.
wait your ps3 will play ps2 games? mine won't.

My PS3 plays both PS2 and PS1 games. The new ones don't have backwards compatibility, but older ones do. I made sure to get one, so I could play all my old games. No matter how good graphics get, a lot of PS2 and PS1 games are my favorite games of all time.

I've been using an emulator to play the Spyro series, and it's an awesome nostalgia trip so far.

Crash Bandicoot is great too, especially 2 and 3.
I recently played through Spyro as well, that was quite the nice trip down memory lane. The only problem was the graphical downgrade.
It looks a good deal better when you play it on a 1920x1080 monitor with custom shaders.

Yay for emulators!

Sonic 1, 2, and 3 & Knuckles on my Genesis (Mega Drive as it's called in Europe). Got me hooked again.

Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3 on my old NES too.

Some days earlier I had been "readdicted" to Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on my N64 before it gave me the finger and entered a coma by overheating its power supply.

Depends on what you consider "retro" gaming. I have been playing a lot of last-gen games recently. I also recently ordered Chrono Cross from Amazon, and I am thinking about getting The Longest Journey. So, yeah, I am.

I really want to play Rampage World Tour, but I can't find the cartridge! Actually I'm missing all but two of my N64 games.

Any model will play PS1, though, from my understanding.

GET IT. GET IT. GET IT. You will not regret getting The Longest Journey.
