I don't think this is such a good idea; a fair number of people drive like they haven't got one...

I loved the end: "We still have a long way to go before we can fully control machines with our brains". The future is looking incredibly awesome.

"Of course you should never try this at home"

Try what? Building a fucking mind-reading machine? Anyone with the capacity to do that at home should be fully encouraged to do so, I'd say.

Mind control does present a very wide array of uses, but this is probably the worst one yet.
It's right up there with "replace all plane cables with blue-tooth".

Tho the setup is good, it is simply a bad idea, if you already have an autonomous vehicle then hook it up to the sat-nav and keep the driver out of it, and switch back to manual control in tricky situations.

Cool, great, awesome, where is my affordable flying car? Where is my datajack, Augmented Reality, and wireless matrix?
yeah thats the future i signed up for when i was a kid.
If i had told '91 elementary me that i in 2011 wont have a flying car i would have been really disappointed. I mean its 2011 THE FUTURE. We could at least be invaded by neat aliens or something
And if the invading aliens were to look like this I would not mind:
