Sigh, some of these videos are so inconceivably stupid you start thinking they're actually deliberate and brilliant satires on stupidity.
The most fun is reading the creators comments trying to explain himself. Anyway:
Lets put ourselves in their shoes. So lets say I am the government...

"Yeah! lets pretend we have bombs able to destroy entire cities! And we will call them atom bombs after that science that proves our idea for a doomsday device to be possible! But tell each and every one of out workers not to tell anybody about our project. Because if just one of the many workers we will need to complete this gigantic propaganda project releases evidence then we will be fired and ridiculed on the spot."
"Yes, that could be a problem. And we will also need to fake bombing two major Japanese cities in order to create a strong illusion."
"Yes, but surely then we will need to fake pictures of victims, destroyed cities and witnesses. Not to mention convincing the Japanese government to surrender and then go along with this project. And stop the Japanese citizens from investigateing the places where the bomb site should be and convince all the world not to go find out either. In fact now I come to think of it this project would involve convincing every city on earth that two major cities in Japan are in rubble when in fact they are not. On second thoughts lets not bother with this and instead get on with trying to stop all of Europe from been engulfed by the Nazi war machine."
Now what sounds more realistic, that plan actually succeeding or them helping Europe avoid been engulfed in an ect ect. Also I have a conspiracy theory that president Kennedy never got shot in an open car in front of a full crowd. But the government hushed it up...
Actually that is a bad example because that would actually be more possible than the nuke conspiracy theory.
Ps: Terry Pratchett once wrote that it is amazing how good the government are at hushing things up considering how inept they are at all other aspects of government work.

Reminds me of a time when I was on a bus, going home from school.
I spoke to the bus driver, mostly because I didn't have a portable gaming system around at the time.
The bus driver didn't know that oil isn't a truly "renewable" resource.
He was ranting on about something to the effect of: "Oh, that's a lie that the world has a limited supply of oil!"
He also began saying something about solar energy not working, but I basically told him to be quiet at that point.

I actually hope he's wrong, because without the threat of nuclear winter and mutual destruction, the cold war could easily have become very hot, nuclear hot, and russia might go to war with the US at any time
