Wait, because one person left, the band is dead? I don't think it works like that.

Also, I don't really care. I'm not an Oasis fan.

Not a huge surprise. It was like the married couple everyone was waiting to divorce. Never listened to them much myself, Noel always put me off. He seemed like kind of a dick.
He was. I read about them in an old issue of Spin. Most of the article focused on how much of a prick he was lol. Oh well, I never cared for them. Haven't they broken up a few times already?

Never a fan of Oasis. Wonderwall is one of those songs that got played to death. I'm more indifferent than anything else though.

What a case of crying wolf. Those Gallagher brothers have done this type of thing before. Sure, it may never have resulted in an official "we're splitting up" announcement, but those two have HATED each other pretty much ever since they started the band. It kind of shows in their dismal, cynical, hate-filled rip-off-merchant music.

On the other hand if you do actually like Oasis' recent output (yes, I'm talking about you three), I wouldn't be concerned at all. Just like feuding rappers that threaten to kill each other on one album and record with each other for the next, you can bet that Oasis will also get back together at some point. It's the music industry - there's money involved.

The Stone Roses and Suede crush them
So is this basically an Oasis hate thread? Because that would be pretty lame if it were.
Never cared much for the band, I actually thought they had broken up years ago. Guess you learn something new everyday.

I'm not a fan but I assumed more people were considering how huge they actually are, I was hoping to get a varied selection of opinions but to no avail.

Yes it finally happened. Oasis have officialy bit the dust!

what are your thoughts on this, are you heartbroken, elated or just plain indifferent?
and what do you think the brothers Gallagher should do next?
Thoughts: they had it coming. I'm pretty indifferent. And the Gallagher brothers should probably reconcile, move on, and never work together again.

This means they split some years ago, reformed recently and split again. "Bigger than the Beatles" my sweet butt.

I think they should form a *new* band and continue their trend of ripping off the classics for personal gain. Go them!

I am pretty heartbroken because they are a childhood favourite.

On the other hand, I still did not realise that they were producing music.

Indifferent, since I thought they broke up some years ago and, well, I didn't really care then.
