Did any of you escapists have an object from your childhood that was special, unusual, or just a symbol of yourself like a toy or favorite article of clothing etc.

I found mine last night it was a timmon and pumba (you know from the lion king) pillow that I used to love I would always hold it kinda like a teddy bear while sleeping.

No, I never felt the need for that. I was ofcourse very fond of my LEGO's, I miss those carefree days where I could spend hours and hours of building random crap.

I have a red sock that I stole from my sister when I was 1 year old and wouldn't give it back. If I dropped/lost etc. I would flip out and go nuts. But now that I'm older I've still kept it in my room.

A silk scark. I'm not sure if I have it any more, but for most of my life I would alsways have a silk scarf with me while I lept. I must have gone through 10 iterations of that thing. Each one would become progressively more holy, until finally I stopped taking it. Pity. It was so comforting...

I remember... an artillery shell that my dad got for me as a souvenir from teh Falklands. He isn't an ary bloke, but actually he set up a telecoms connection linking the navy to the RAF to make training excercises easier. He was meant to be gone for 6 weeks, turned into 6 months lol

My toy trucks. I was an exceptionally odd child and I would always make sure I had two two trucks when I went to bed, in case one got lost. And this was when I was around 3.

Toddlers planning out events in advance is a very scary concept.

You lucky bastard, I had to do it with an accumulation of small worthless things wich I would build and throw in 1 big box 3 days later. I must say, that did fuel my creativity.

Again, you lucky bastard. I wish I still had that child-like creativity. I tried a while ago, but I just couldn't do it anymore. Growing up suuuuucks.

I still have the monkey given to me when I was 2. It tends to travel the world wherever I go stuffed in my case.
