An original T-Rex plushy from The Lost World: Jurassic Park... it's a plushy, so I was able to sleep with it in my bed, except this had the consequence of a 6-year old who has seen Jurassic Park too many times, waking up screaming from a nightmare with dinosaurs, only to see the one in his bed, them become terrified to the point where he absolutely freezes in sheer terror until he passes out.
God, I loved my childhood.

My dads walking stick, well, I guess it's more of a staff. He made it for me, I still keep it close to me so I can remember him.

I remember... an artillery shell that my dad got for me as a souvenir from teh Falklands. He isn't an ary bloke, but actually he set up a telecoms connection linking the navy to the RAF to make training excercises easier. He was meant to be gone for 6 weeks, turned into 6 months lol
Possibly... the most bad-ass childhood object. Ever.

My pokemon t-shirt, I used to wear it everyday. Pokemon used to be awesome when I was young, I had a MASSIVE pokemon card collection, *good times, good times*

Also my tank for my army men..... now I think I know the reason my mum kept on trying to get me into barbies....

A bear from my cousin. I tied it round a light once before we went out for the day and burnt its leg. If we'd been about 10 minutes longer it would have set on fire and probably burnt the house down.

Silly little me. Still have it somewhere. Still with a burnt leg.

The cigarette lighter from my dad's old car. He did that cash for clunkers thing and finally traded it in. As the motor just blew and he was able to get it in on time. As that car has been with me all life until a week ago

So I kept the lighter to remember that car by.

I have a teddy bear named Toby. I've had him for as long as I can remember. He was given to me by my very first sitter so, I named him after her. She was a hearing impaired and taught me my first words in sign. He's still in very good condition. I still give him a squeeze when ever I'm really sad.

I had something which I got rid of once I was old enough to know what it was. I had a golly-wog that my grandmother knitted for me. For those of you that don't know, golly-wog's where a vehicle for a lot of racist humour quite a while ago. I was unaware of such a tendency in my family and when I was about 15 I found out about them, was a little bit unsettled, and subsequently removed it feeling more than a little bit guilty, despite my ignorance of the thing up to that point.

don't get me started on LEGOS I have about 60 full sets of legos worth about.....eh $1500 that I've accumulated over my childhood.
You lucky bastard, I had to do it with an accumulation of small worthless things wich I would build and throw in 1 big box 3 days later. I must say, that did fuel my creativity.

I still do that with lego it passes time I build things that only a madman would think of
Again, you lucky bastard. I wish I still had that child-like creativity. I tried a while ago, but I just couldn't do it anymore. Growing up suuuuucks.
I too, loved the Lego. I remember at my grandparent's house I had this big red bucket filled with Legos from all the different sets I had. My grandpa and I had a game called "secret weapons," in which we would build two attack vehicles (tanks, spaceships etc.), then spend about 10 minutes making up BS about how ours was the better (i.e. "My laser cannons has a laser 5 times more powerful than a nuclear bomb!"), and then we would smash them into eachother while making battle noises until one fell completely to pieces. He always let me win.

I had an old toy sawed off shotgun that fired those plastic red/orange darts that would stick to things. I always used it when I played cops and robbers. I lost it though when I moved from my old house. Recently though, I found an old ejected cartridge from a Springfield rifle my Grandfather used during World War II. He carved into it, "First Kill, July 15th". I still have it as a reminder how awesome of a man he was.

My aunt's NES.

Although it was never in my possesion, I do remember spending hour at my grandmother's playing Punch Out!!. I have recently come across said NES, and it will be coming home with me.
I had a similar thing with my aunts SNES!

But that wasn't my main special object. I used to have this blue teddy bear. I loved that thing so much I ended up getting my mom to buy a second teddy bear which could be its girlfriend.

I would pin the tank against my unsuspecting pets, I could shoot heeps far and it was the main source of entertainment during my childhood, is also probably the reason cats now hate me...

Yet another sad example of how something that was originally meant to bring joy was twisted into a symbol of hate and ignorance by some racist jackass.

My Playstation 1 was basically my childhood. Even though I wasn't a very good gamer, wasn't up on any new games. I didn't read about them or anything. Just played whatever game my parents got me randomly.

I like to research games now mind...

I have some my baby cutlery, my dinosaur chair, the letter I sent to Her Majesty The Queen, the soft toy chipmunk I got in a pass-the-parcel game at hospital as well as numerous children's books.

I'm a collector. I have trouble throwing things away.
