PS: saing 'Oblivion Glitch' is equivilent to saying 'Fire hot'. AKA: Its inevitable (Mr Anderson)

Ive tried reloading from eariler places and trying again or starting it over. Also I do have it on PC as well. but my system i use for work and it really isnt up to the task of handling Oblivion or other games as they should so i dont play it on there as id have lag even with all the settings set to bottom.

At least you can run yours, I just bought a copy of it off Steam (GOTY Edition as well) and it won't run for me. This has lead to much anger as I wait for tech support.
I bought it off Steam too, but mine works. So nyah.

But it takes up a fucking massive amount of space.

I assume you've tried the obvious ways to get it to work?
A few I could think of, but no changes.

Completely open to suggestions though, in fact, I would like them if you have any.

Well, I have a bit of experience with this stuff, so I'll try to help.

What exactly happens when you try to start it up?

Everything will run fine, up until a certain point. I was able to play Sunday, and get throught he tutorial fine. Go through the sewers and such. I got out into the game world, and then fast travelled to the Imperial City. I went in a shop, did some shopping and exited. When it exited, the audio repeated, and the screen went black, complete crash. Couldn't even revert to desktop. Tried it again, this time with the Wizard's Tower. Once again, got in fine, but upon exiting, the game crashed. I have no idea what the problem is.

get the unofficial oblivion patch.

it's on tesnexus.com, just search for it, it fixes something like 1000 bugs.

EDIT: i didn't realise you're on xbox, don't bother with the unofficial patch then.
Yeah it's sad that some people didn't buy Oblivion for PC isn't it. They're missing out on sooo much extra content.
Most definitely. I love my user made mods on Oblivion. Hell I love them on ANY game...

Have you got any mods or anything installed?

And were you able to enter/exit any other buildings?

Okay al of my stupendisly good and original humor aside, hae you tried to just kill him and go to the shrine without the mesage because that might be the only problem.

Nothing extra has been installed, only what Steam downloaded. And it would be all buildings I believe since it seems to be any building that exits back into the game world.

I assume you have already read the quest bugs [http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Hermaeus_Mora#Bugs] and tried all the possible fixes regarding multiple casts, multiple casts on different targets, etc.?
