For me, this would be Terracon. Only being released in Europe for the PS1 after the release of the PS2 stopped it ever selling much, but it is one of the best games on the console.

Fire Emblem: Geneology of the Holy War. Now that there is an english patch, there is no reason not to play it.

inb4 cult classics such as Psychonauts, Ico, or Beyond Good and Evil (I love all 3 games - Ico a little grudgingly - but let's not kid ourselves, they're no longer "obscure" by any means)

OT: Majin and The Forsaken Kingdom gets my vote. Great game, it's sad its release passed over so many heads.

Severance: Blade of Darkness. I like action adventures and have fond memories of this one, although it was pretty hard.

I very much second this. Such a wonderful game! Fun gameplay with surprisingly good AI, and absolutely enchanting in terms of audiovisual presentation. Everyone should at least give this one a try. :)

Dynasty Tactics 2 by Koei.

A great turn-based game where you can take command of either the three main kingdoms or Lu Bu's forces (those of you who have played a Dynasty Warriors game will know these) and they all have their own stories that are quite long and also feature "what if" scenarios that are quite interesting.

There is a also a multiplayer section that can be a lot of fun. I once had a 2 hour long match with a friend of mine; damn that was a lot of fun.

Also, I have never had so much fun recruiting people in a game.

Voodoo Vince! It was my first xbox game and still one of my favorites. It's worth buying for the soundtrack alone.

Industry Giant was fun, once I figured out what exactly I was supposed to do. Same for Spacebucks.

Actually, Spacebucks even more, if only because of the fantastically integrated Galactic News Reports and cool spaceship designs.

All I really have to say is Skullmonkeys.
Or Blood Will Tell, take your pic, both pretty weird, and really awesome

You bet your ass this game deserves more recognition, I feel like buying it again now actually! For nostalgia's sake O.O

And yep it was a damn hard game, I loved the challenge.

The Dark Spire. I keep recommending this game whenever I get the chance. It's a party based first person dungeon crawler for the DS, and one of my favourite games on the system.

Total mindfuck of a game.
That looks really interesting. I looked it up and now I'm even more interested. I'm going to have to see if I can find a copy somewhere.

Amnesia: The Da...er, wait.
Basti... oh.

Well, crap. Every time I find some obscure little game, everyone else decides to like it too, thus rendering it no longer obscure.

I was into obscure games before it was cool, damnit!

Direct 2 Drive was selling it when I bought it.

You might still be able to snag it there.
