Half-Life: Opposing Force. It was shadowed by Half-Life when it first came out, combined with it being an expansion pack by another company, but it's a bitchin' game, my favorite in the series.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Must-have if you like Lovecraftian stories.

Oh man, against better judgment I'm hoping for a continuation of the TLJ franchise.

@ OP: Not really obscure, but could definitely use more love: The Witcher 2.

Katawa Shoujo.
Although, it's more of a visual novel.
And not that obscure.
But it's got great writing!

Okay, i see you not buying my recommendation for what is, in it's essence, a not-quite-game involving dating disabled girls.

Um... Painkiller is pretty good, and you could try Code-name Gordon! A free little 8-bit half life game.
Speaking of which...

One of the favourite games of my childhood is Evil Zone. IMO, it's approach to storytelling in the otherwise bland fighting game genre was and still is revolutionary. It is remiscent in many ways of No More Heroes, but with 10 different stories and terrible voice acting.

Check it out for yourself, it's easier.

I was going to say this :D

Evil Zone was really obscure, I didn't know anyone on here knew about it.

Not sure how obscure it really was but I don't know a single other person who played it.

Primal was one of the best games I had on my PS2.

Great graphics (that still hold up pretty well IMO), amazing voice work, an interesting story. Too bad more people didn't play it. The scene where you get the wraith powers is worth the price alone. Hilarious!

At the time, it took a lot of work to find the complete game. I played a demo of it and only years later did I find the actual game.
Yeah, I played it on a demo too, then managed to find the game about a year later.

Tell me, did your demo have Tony Hawks skateboarding on it?

Airline Tycoon, a buisiness sim on PC. Spent hours playing that when I was about 8...
I got this game within arms reach. I also went and emulated my copy of Terracon (I still have it).

Sword of etheria, rise to honor, gungrave, etc. The ps2 is full of obscure titles and i don´t think anybody would make any sequel of them, not even spiritual ones.

Obscure? Has to be Silver. Nobody I know has heard of this game, and its pretty rare to find video footage of it on YouTube as it keeps giving me Pokemon Silver or Sonic 2006 *shudder* Despite having it for 13 years, I only managed to complete it this morning.

I have no idea how to embed stuff...

Primal was amazing. One of the first games I played on my ps2. Shame it never seemed to take off.

Does Lost Odyssey count? I'm not sure if it counts as obscure but it didn't sell very well. Which can't be down to game quality.

Severance: Blade of Darkness. I like action adventures and have fond memories of this one, although it was pretty hard.
Really, I thought it was quite easy. The trick was remembering how each individual opponent attacks and not to charge into your fights like a bull.

Dodging was key, and if you couldn't do that - stay out of the enemy's range. (Easier said than done on the Forge of Xathara stage.)

Those big troll type monsters with clubs were absolute bastards to deal with at the best of times. Having said all this, it was a damned fine game with some equally fab if cheesy music.

But the Dwarven class totally sucked. Even the Knight and Irkanois (Barbarian) classes dodged better than him.

So is this a sequel to the longest journey? I've heard a lot about that game and should probably pick it up.

But what system is this for? Please don't tell me only PC, because this looks really interesting. I really like the visual style and the character animations seem pretty lifelike. Plus the soundtrack sounds awesome!
