When is the Prince of Persia add-on coming out I forgot
This Thursday.

I'll probably get it regardless of the cost, though the fact that one of the bronze trophies is "finish the epilogue in under an hour" doesn't fill me with confidence. Apparently the platforming sections will be more challenging... we can only hope.
I'll probably do the same, even tho the ending was a bit....shitty, I still want to know more about the lore behind the game, it's pretty nice.

Yet your right, under one hour? That seems pretty shitty to me. Least it's a trilogy, so the 2nd game should be coming out somewhere in...2012 or so?..............

In all JRPG's you hack away at people with swords yet no limbs are removed

the use of English in some games. like RE1, if I remember correctly in one of the rooms you see,

'there is a big paper on the wall'

oh yeah and of course 'all your base are belong to us'

Ok I did use search and couldn't find anything by the fourth page, so if this has been done before, my bad

anyway, what sort of odd things have you noticed in games?
For example I noticed that at the start of Prince of Persia, Sands of Time, the prince has a dagger sheath on his belt even though he doesn't have a dagger with him, and there is no believable way he could know that he is going to pick up a dagger that just happens to fit the sheath perfectly in the Maharaja's treasure vault. At least this struck me as being odd.
Haha, yeah, I also remember how when he finished a fight at the begining of the game, he'd still put his invisible dagger into its sheath. Probably my faviourite game EVAR though.

One of things I noticed when playing though the Ratchet and Clank games recently is how the hover vehicals don't seem to give a shit about whats going on. There could be a small scale war going on on the ground and they still fly around like nothings happening. Hell, you can fire at them and destroy thousands and they don't seem to think about it.

Come to think about it, they never seem to take the fact that Ratchet causes mass murder into the game at any point. I guess Engineer is one step away from Psycho hu?

In MGS4, whenever you use an anti-tank gun, snake will throw the anti-tank gun on the ground and pick up a new one out of his pocket. And they thought Tactical reload was too unrealistic to leave in.

EDIT: And they made O equal cancel and X equal accept. It was opposite in every other game and they had to change it for some reason in this one.

And really for any game. O seems to make more sense for accept and X makes more sense for cancel, but it's flipped for some reason.

Doom.

The man carries with him an armoury to make the USA shrink in terror, yet for some reason. whenever he reaches a locked door he has to go and find a key. Doesn't he have enough fire-power to turn All of Russia into a cloud of dust! couldn't he just shoot down the door.
Well, they say they will have fire, grenade, bullet, missile, napalm and electricity proof doors ready in a few years...

My mistake. I just checked and it's actually two hours (and a silver trophy, suggesting some degree of difficulty).
$10 would be reasonable. If it's anything more than that I'll... probably still buy it.
Well...I'm gonna do the same probably.....Fkc you Ubisoft for making such a cliffhanger ending wanting me to get more out of the damn game....

In College Hoops 2K5 I can pass the ball into the low post, do a crossover dribble with a guy who's 7-foot-2, then dunk on the AI defender. Does the AI ever adjust? Well, sometimes they go into a double-low defense, but it's the same one every time, and that same big man develops the passing touch of John Stockton as he kicks it out to the open man on the perimeter for a 3. It does not speak well of a game's AI if a grand total of two offensive plays are required to score 120 points a game with 15-minute halves.
I have NBA 2K3, and all I have to do is pumpfake a defender, he loses his socks and jumps way into the air, and I just go right by him for a slam. I know what you mean.

They did this because that's the standard for Japanese games, for whatever reason they use O instead of X. They left it like that when bringing it to the US and Europe.

I do notice on some sandbox games on the rare occasions you have allies they will refuse flat out to fire at something right in front of them until they attack you or you attack them or up until Saints Row 2, allies would endlessly run after your car because they couldn't fit in it..

Have you even played the game? If you look at the meaning of the title, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is supposed to mean Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers. Oh, that sounds like I'm going to have a picnic everywhere I go.

To me the O as accept and the X as cancel is only logical. You cross something out to void it and O is like OK.

If you mess with the GECK construction kit on Fallout 3 you can change some of the item names and make it say :
"You have become addicted to Porn"

By far, the weirdest thing I have ever seen in a game is in Hitman 2. On the first level, many NPCs have to go pee on a tree somewhere in the level. If you look at them when they're doing it, they have their fingers sticking out through a closed fist, giving the illusion that they're grabbing their junk. They wiggle their fingers around when, and when they finish they hold their hands out and shake their finger, which flaps around everywhere.

Thats definitly the best easter egg I have ever seen in a game.
