Well Escapist's, as of 12 minutes ago, it's now 2012. So, what are you doing for the new year? Do you have any resolutions? Any hopes and/ or fears for the new year?

I for one am going to Sydney for a week and a bit, which should be fun.

I just hope I don't have a mental breakdown, which unfortunately is a very real possibility.

How's life in the future? Is 2012 any better? I'm still stuck back here in 2011.

I'm going to be spending 2012 desperately trying not to be spurred into a murderous rampage by the inevitable slew of Mayan Calendar "jokes" and ignorant hysteria that will undoubtedly occur, especially towards the end of the year..

Oh, it's totally great here in 2012, every one has jetpacks and flying cars. It's like the future!

I'll probably be serving a Mormon mission later this year, which means I'll probably be in a foreign country/state for the next two years.

Get out of this room, get a job, get a license, get more flesh on my bones, get some self respect.

It will be the year of getting things.

It's been 2012 here for 47 minutes now. My poor cats are terrified of the fireworks, especially one of them; he's hiding in the bathroom.

During 2012 I'm hoping to make more progress in conquering my depression, to perhaps find and keep a job without said depression effing it up for me, and to loose some weight before my friend's wedding this summer.

Happy new years people.

Not much to report from the Sweden front, fireworks, scared dogs, drunk people.

Still 2011 here, just watching the last ten minutes of Charlie Brooker's 2011 Wipe. So in other words I'm not doing much for the new year other than laughing my arse off.

Happy new year Escapists!

Its about 11am January 1st over here. I remember last night I was drinking, playing Arkham City and watching Eddie Murphy clips, then I glanced over at the clock out of curiosity and thought "holy shit, 11:58!"

So yeah, thats how I was celebrating last night. Its the first NYE I've ever spent alone.

Admittedly it was a little depressing, but this morning was conversely the best New Years Day I've ever had. Waking up in my own bed with a minor hangover then having a shower and a coffee was a HUGE improvement from waking up on my friend's floor feeling like crap.

It's exactly 1100 hours here in the Australian capital, Canberra. NYE was surprisingly good. Sipping drinks with friends in park, moshing in a massive street party, having an improptue Shuffle duel, watching the midnight fireworks ontop of a bus stop, and finally crashing in a office for 3 hours sleep.

Also, since there has not yet been such a proposal. I suggest "Hold Your Colour" by Pendulum as song of NYD 2012.

My resolution is to probably go back to college in September, but chances are Mum/Dad would say no.

Don't want to put a downer on the whole thing, but I'm sat I'm my living room on my own. My Dad's half asleep on his computer in the kitchen, my Sister is over at my Mother's (my parents are separated), and none of our extended family came over despite the fact they said they'd come and they live just across the road.

Gotta say, this is a pretty sucky way to start the year.

You're in blissful denial. Let me break it down for you man...Sydney blows. It really really sucks. But TRY and have fun!
Exactly...Melbourne's way better.
