I'm sat here next to a dog who is happily snoozing on his bed, drinking Jack Daniels straight from the bottle. Mother and father are out for New Years. Happy fuckin' New Year.

Spent the entire evening with one of my best friends. Had a nice big shrimp dinner, talked and laughed about all sorts of nerdy stuff and watched nothing but Green Lantern - the movie (shut up, I liked it), Emerald Knights (hot damn, this thing rocks!) and the surprisingly good pilot for the new animated series.
All in all a fine way to spend New Year's Eve.

Happy New Year, my fellow Escapists! :)

Watching awful music performances on television occasionally peering out at the fireworks drinking horribly fizzy cava, My new years resolutions are to fund a girl interested in Art and to be a bit less emotionally dead. It's been a long year but I hope 2012 will bring on the same great surprises I had in 2011 and less of the bad.

Well, it's only about 7:35 PM here.

In all honesty, I think 2012 might be a pretty shitty year. But what do I know? Thats probably just the little angry Englishman who lives in the back of my head getting a little crotchety about having to stay up all night.

We all know things are gonna get stupid around the end of year, with the 2012 predictions and whatnot. What I don't understand is how people can't simply understand that the reason the Mayan calender ends is because it FUCKING ENDS. It's a calendar, they do that! It's like me not changing my calendar and you suddenly assuming you've walked into the past.

Well, as for my own resolutions and goals...gain muscle, acquire currency, and have a meaningful relationship with a member of the opposite sex. (I won't keep true to any of this.)

So yeah...Happy New Years and all that other good stuff!

So I now have to write 2012 instead of 2011? K.

New years is just another excuse to be drunk, nothing special about it.

No resolutions, I don't drink, I don't smoke and I started to lose weight about a month ago ...

I know resolutions don't have to be about giving up but I don't want to start anything either.

I plan to enjoy the year playing The Old Republic, Diablo 3, FF XIII-2, Mass Effect 3 and I'm sure a few others before I die a horrible world ending death from the apocalypse.

Despite the 'fact' the world will end...I shall continue to be a tool for society and work my regular hours right to the end.

I went to the bathroom for the first time just after midnight and it splashed up, terrifying me...I hate that feeling...

This was a pretty big year, huh? Lots of pretty crazy stuff went on in both the world and the video game community.

"It was a pretty big year for predators. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/113339-Mojang-and-Bethesda-Are-Going-to-Court]
The marketplace was on a roll, [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/114826-Analyst-Values-Team-Fortress-2-Hat-Trade-at-50-Million]
and the land of opportunity
spawned a whole new breed of men without souls.

This year notoriety
got all confused with fame,

and the devil is downhearted
'cause there's nothing left for him to claim.

God only knows what 2012 will be like. Perhaps the apocalypse will actually roll around this year... (well. Let's hope not.)

Well Escapist's, as of 12 minutes ago, it's now 2012. So, what are you doing for the new year? Do you have any resolutions? Any hopes and/ or fears for the new year?

I for one am going to Sydney for a week and a bit, which should be fun.
You're in blissful denial. Let me break it down for you man...Sydney blows. It really really sucks. But TRY and have fun!
Oh? When I've gone to Sydney previously, I've found it nice. Care to elaborate?

Well en ce moment I am drunk in 2012 as much as I'd be in 2011. Therefore life it all the same to me yo. And there's a bit of francais pour la sophistication.

....Yes, I end my sentences in "yo" whilst drunk.

Happy New Year!

I'll be going back to college to take game development later this year so my goals are related to doing well when I get there and saving enough money for tuition to avoid debt.

I really hope that I get a friggin job this year!
I second this, being broke sucks. However I've been looking for a job for a Year and a half now, and I see nothing to indicate that this year will be any different.

On that slightly depressing note, Happy New Year!

Then on the 22nd I'm just gunna get on with my life.

Actually this will be the year I finally graduate from college, so I guess that's one world that's ending
I'd just like the record to state that I love this song.

That is all.

Hopefully, I'll be traveling, a lot.
And perhaps, get in good with someone for my writing and possibly get hired.
Maybe something else that would lead to a career.
I'm hopeful and trying to stay optimistic but spending New Year's Eve at home with no one but my cat and computer isn't making things look very bright. >.>

I will just go with the basics. Pass college, and find a job to support me in college. I really could use the money...

I have a few resolutions, none of which I'm willing to discuss publicly, but I'm really looking forward to this year. I have everything I could want at this point in my life, so I'm certainly not complaining.

For tonight, though, I just spent it with my girlfriend.
