In all honesty, I worked at a rental place, and the "Company" will be able to recover. Every disc they own is insured to a tee. I'm sure netflix and Gamefly work the exact same way. They pay top dollar to insure these bad boys. And by-the-by, I wan't fired, I quit b/c of my boss. I'm not giving you bad info here.

Life is better now.

Strangely since the release of said game I've found myself enjoying my single player experiences more... Seriously I rarely play any games online any more

OT: I guess trading in Borderlands. Yeah I got a good trade in price but new DLC was released that I hadn't heard of & Dante's Inferno wasn't all that. Although the discussions at work concerning Satan & his... um... piece certainly were hilarious

OT: My Pokemon Silver has ceased to work. It refuses to save data, so everytime I play it, I have to beat the entire game in one sitting.

The battery in your game cartridge died. It's relatively easy to fix. There are plenty fo tutorials on how to fix it on YouTube

Also, don't do anything underhanded like swapping with a rental place. Just buy a new copy or find another generic mindless shooter for cheap. I'd assume the first Modern Warfare is really cheap now...

OMG mine too! that was my favourite version too....besides the original 150 of course.
Anyhoo I've definetly destroyed some disks way back when I was like 4, poor Dark Sun, I always wanted to try it out again ever since I learned how to read.

If you have a friend who also has Modern Warfare 2 you can download his disc onto your hard drive and then use your own disc as the startup disc. I have done this myself so I know it works.

Well that's a hardware fault in the console then, unavoidable really. What I'm saying is that I don't understand those people who snap their games out of frustration, or pay such little mind to how they store/move them that they manage to break them.
