One that jumped out recently to me is The male wizard for diablo 3 is voice by Alucard from the anime series Hellsing. Nothing too noteworthy just thought of it cause it was the last time where I was shocked to recognize a voice.

I've been playing Peace Walker HD version quite a lot recently, and there was one niggling thing I had up with the game, and that was that I recognised the voice of The Boss, but I had no idea from where.

Then I watched Family Guy and realised that the voice of The Boss (Lori Alan just in case you want to know/don't believe me and want to check) also voices...

(Diane Simmons just in case you were unaware)(She also voices Pearl from Spongebob Squarepants)

And I can't believe I didn't realise it before. So I ask, has this ever happened to anyone else?

You've just toally ruined The Boss for me now.

I'm never going to be able to watch that scene where Snake kills her in Snake Eater without hearing Tom, "Now here's Ollie Williams with the weather."

Let me ruin it for you even more The voice of Ollie Williams (Phil La Marr) also voices Vamp in MGS2 and MGS4 - although admittedly the voices are rather different. But it did lead somebody to make this video.

Most recently I was playing Prototype 2 and immediately recognised Rooks as Mr. Freeze from Arkham City.

Strangely enough, he also does Calculon from Futurama.

Jon Irenicus from Baldurs Gate II also plays the evil boyfriend's butler in Titanic. You know, the guy with the gun...

EDIT: Oh, just remembered. The "Male Voice 1" a.k.a white guy a.k.a Britsh voice for the protagonist in Saints Row 2 is "Mr Sheffield" from Nanny

Anderson from Mass effect is in Requiem for a dream. It was awesome when I recognized him, but it seems he's done quite a few cool characters.

When playing the Force unleashed i was like "Darth Vader doesn't quite sound like the James Earl Jones one but he does sound like .... CHAD VADER!"

Then after the tiniest bit of internet research i discovered that George Lucas liked the internet spoof shows voice acting so much that they got Matt Sloan to actually become the voice of the actual Vader. Made my day

Everyone knows this by now and someone might have said it. Fable 3 had two of my most favorite comedians of all time voicing two of the best characters in the game.

I still remember the first time this happened to me.

"Dr. Neo Cortex is Mr. Krabs!?"

Since then I've always tried to pick out voice actors.

No way! I never knew that! Although I did notice he did Baron Praxis.

OT: Steve Blum did this to me many times.

It's happened several times, and it was at the point where i recognized the voice of a singer during the opening credits that i realized i might watch a bit too much anime 'cause honestly... that's the only way i get japanese music.

Apart from that there's been several cases of recognizing character voices because some of these voice actors pop up in just about every anime you watch, either as a main or supporting character.

... What? I like his voice acting.

Did any of you know the Nassana Dantius in Mass Effect 1 and 2 also voices Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender?

The voice actor also voices SOOOOOOOOOO many other character's from other shows.

For example, Kimiko from Xiaolin Showdown, Mandy from Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and from plenty of videogames too.

Also *raises flame shield in case someone screams at me for mentioning it* My Little Pony use a lot of Deathnote voice actors which surprised me for some reason.
(Rarity = Naomi. Mr Cake = Ryuk. Singing Pinkie = Misa. Spike = Near). And L's voice actor was in Battlestar Gallactica! Blew my knickers off when I realised!
