I'm currently working through various lists of the most shocking and downright fucked up movies and short films you can imagine. Such delights as 'Men Behind The Sun', 'Flowers of Flesh and Blood', 'August Underground?s Mordum' (Which was shit by the way, don't bother) and 'Cannibal Holocaust'.

Nothing's really made me think it's gone too far yet. Next on the list are 'Cutting Moments' and 'Aftermath'.

Left 4 dead 2. The zombie clowns in the theme park level. It seems innocuous...but I really hate clowns. It's alright(even enjoyable)when I see them coming from a distance and I can shoot 'em down before they get to me. It's when I spin fast to see what is hitting me from behind and it's right there!...

Ewoks.

I still have nightmares about something that could have been beautiful being ruined by them...

The Tokyo Gore Police. I saw a trailer for it... Wow. The whole concept is just asinine.

EDIT: Just watched that Human Centipede trailer. Whoever thought that one up must have a sick sense of entertainment. Oh well, to each his own, I guess.

Captivity (I think). The movie didn't scare me, but feeding a woman body parts ground down in a smoothie maker? NO.

I just Googled The Human Centipede. AAAAARGH. Trashy and gross. Not sure if I'd want to see that!

Surprisingly enough, from a game. Watching some of the Dead Space death scenes made me sick, just listening to Isaac's muffled screams.

Ugh.

I really found the Passion of the Christ went a tiny bit too far at the Scourging of the Pillar. I actually found my heart beating hard enough in my chest to make catching a breath a bit difficult. That being said, I've not seen any movies that showed torture scenes so frankly. Even Saw had a certain humour to it, I guess cause I went into that movie expecting gore.

I'm all for outside-the-box thinking, and even enjoy demented horror, cuz that's what makes it horrifying. I'm pretty open minded but I ignored your advice and checked up on the movie at wikipedia and I have to say it's just so BIZARRE... I feel like it should be on 4chan or sumthing. Who would think up this shit? It's just so...alien and out there :(

It'll take a week to get it out of my head, but for that week I will be tortured with what is basically scat horror porn. Really, tell me that's not what this is? (And for the record I do not subscribe to the whole "Modern horror is just horror porn" idea going around I've been hearing about)

Btw, did the psycho surgeon have no idea of how a digestive system work? How the hell are three independent organisms going to function like that anyways? No matter what organism chosen the body need nutrients...and that aint the way to do it.

All great films, you've mentioned. Men Behind The Sun is one of my favourite Unit 731 films (check out Philosophy of a Knife), I get some entertainment out of the Guinea Pig series (FoFaB is #2, and the goriest of the 6). August Underground, I LOVE those films. In my opinion, Fred Vogel did a fantastic job with the trilogy, as well as the other ToeTag films. Sick and vile, just the way I like it! Cannibal Holocaust's one of the greatest horrors of all time, in my opinion. Very well made, excellent characters - I got Ruggero Deodato to sign mine personally.

Cutting Moments is definitely interesting, and Aftermath is beautifully shot.

I don't believe any of those films go 'too far', and most of them aren't trying to. Cannibal Holocaust, for example - it's extremely graphic, yes, but that isn't the point of the film. The focus is on the characters, making the viewer sympathize with them (alright, I can't sympathize with anyone, but still...)

Anyone who said something like Hostel, Saw, Human Centipede, etc, goes too far, DO NOT look up any of the aforementioned films.

I didn't sleep for 2 days after I first heard about Slender Man. I also didn't sleep for a while the first time I saw these guys.

Call me pathetic if you will, but the first time I saw each of those was at around 10:30 at night. Thankfully, it was about 2 months apart.

Oh God...not the Slender Man.
I first read about that on here. And immediately fled the 6th form library when the tallest guy in my year walked behind wearing a very long coat...

Nah man, the Human Centipede doesn't freak me out.

As for what has, when I was about 10 or so an episode of the Goosebumps did, as did one of the Hallowe'en films when I was 16. Though I am now much more resilient to such films. Oh, also in Sin City when Elijah Woods' character is eating. I just hate cannibalism.

Edit.
Youtube comment on the Human Centipede:
"one wild sex position"

I lol'd.

Damn my curiosity! After you mentioned "The Human Centipede" I just had to look it up. Now I can't stop thinking about it and it's 10.30 now where I live and my parents are gone for a week.

I can't really say. Nothing that "went too far" has ever disturbed me, but I've never heard of this "human centipede" you speak of. And since I'm deathly afraid of centipedes it might be worth a look. I'll be right back.

EDIT: That. Looks. Awesome!.
