That scene in The Pianist when the Germans threw the handicapped old guy out the window. It's really memorable because the camera doesn't cut, like, to onlookers in horror or something. You see some Nazis walk in, expecting everyone to stand in respect, but the old cripple won't (because he can't) so they lift his wheelchair up and chuck him out the three-story window, and the old man hits the brick road with a splat. All in one shot (or at least, made to look like it was one shot).

God, will that scar me forever.
It's probably bad I laughed at that.

For me: Cannibal Holocaust, me and a friend only made it the part where their shooting blow darts at the guys nads before we had to throw in the towel and watch Anchorman.
That movie got a lawsuit snapped on it for killing live animals. Plus that movie was so graphic that some thought it was real. My friend... what I'm trying to say here is I think you just partially witnesses one of the most disturbing, eerie and gory films ever made. They call it the mother of all bloody cannibal movies

I really loved 28 days later. It was scary, beautiful and the violence was only graphic when the scene called for it, at the most intense moments of the climax.

Imagine how happy I was to go see 28 weeks later in theater! ... I could barely watch it. Way, way too much gore. Did we really need to see that man tear his wife apart?

The Final Destination series...

That series just creeps me out with how some people think of ways to die

Movies that take gore and basically splatter it across the actual film are idiotic in my opinion. Appealing to shock value is alright, but when you're just making crap that will be basically masturbation material for the world's most screwed up person, you need a kick in the balls.

I didn't sleep for 2 days after I first heard about Slender Man. I also didn't sleep for a while the first time I saw these guys.

Call me pathetic if you will, but the first time I saw each of those was at around 10:30 at night. Thankfully, it was about 2 months apart.
Oh God...not the Slender Man.
I first read about that on here. And immediately fled the 6th form library when the tallest guy in my year walked behind wearing a very long coat...
I thought the Slender Man was some old urban legend, but since I've come to find out it's just some dumb meme made up about 2 years ago, I lost all interest.

Crap's just not scary.

My friend sent me the link for The Human Centipede trailer a while back. I laughed at most of it, but still wanna see it.

I've sat through Cannibal Holocaust and August Underground's Mordum though and while I feel that there were moments where Mordum had gone a bit too far, I managed to sit through it all.

While I was watching this trailer, I found it to actually be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. The storyline just makes no sense and is so far-fetched that its just so stupid, its funny.

I could see how some people might see this as going WAY too far, but I'm sure that other movies have gone places that this one might not want to venture into.

You know what went too far?

The animated film "The Snowman". The music especially means I still can't watch it.

I saw the trailer, I guess the shock parts must be in the movie because I really don't see what's so sick about it... just another horror movie.

I watched that movie at a friend's party and spent most of it hiding under my duvet. The few glanced I took guaranteed I didn't sleep that night.
Other than that, the only "going too far" things I watch are intended to be funny in doing so.
I LOVED this movie. It was horrible, yes. Not by far as horrible as people had led me to believe, but horrible. And it might be the only movie I have ever seen that has had believable sex scenes. The performances were stellar, the story good enough...overall a great movie.

OT: I dont think its possible to go too far. Its just fiction anyway. That doesnt mean I'll watch anything. For example I loved the first Saw movie, I thought it was one of the best psychological movies I've seen in ages. And the final scenes were extremely disturbing (and anything that can provoke such a reaction out of me has done its job).

The follow ups were just violence-porn. The story was not as good and the movies just boiled down to extremely imaginative and horrible ways to kill people. While I dont think its taking it too far, I just dont find it entertaining or worth my time.

Movies like Saw, Hostel, etc.. What little I've seen of them makes me sick, I can't understand that anybody would like to see them.
Absolute worst I've seen in the past years: 'The Girl Next Door'. A girl is tortured and raped under control of her dominating aunt, and other teenagers willingly participate.

Err, I'm putting this in spoiler tags for the kids.

Hostel 1, Hostel 2, and The Bloodshed.

Hostel 1: One of the killers cuts the main character's Achilles Tendon. Another killer removes a woman's eyeball with a blowtorch. Disgusting.

Hostel 2: Well, the whole movie. Hostel 1 was worse though.

The Bloodshed: A killer pops a man's testicles with some tool I don't remember.

Humilitad Grape if you saw that "Human Centipede" trailer and didn't burst out laughing, if not at the ridiculous fucking plot and the disclaimer "medically accurate" then at LEAST at the terrible acting, thn there may be something wrong with you. Maybe not actually there's probably something wrong with me. Either way I couldn't stop laughing.

Sorry but the concept of it just made me feel absolutely sick. Thinking back on it now yes the acting looks rubbish and yes the story sounds rubbish. It just doesn't seem like there's a reason for this movie. I've heard the director talking about torture they used in World War 2 and exploring things to do with that... There's been much... I don't know classier film? There's been so many other movies inspired by that type of idea and it comes across clear without having to go that far. I don't think there's a good reason for it.

... I'd also call my self a desensitised scaredy cat. I'll happily sit and watch a horror movie. I'll probably then talk about the concept and the way the film was made and what the way the actor's did there job... Although I probably wont be able to sleep for a while afterwards.
