I just recently finished the first two Thief games after seeing how highly Yahtzee recommended them in Zero Punctuation. I was also playing the first Deus Ex until I proved that there is a build that you can't beat the game with. Namely the build where both of your legs are crippled at the beginning of the Paris section and you have no medpacks, bioelectric energy, or biocells; forcing you to crawl slowly on the ground wondering what was on that shelf in the shed on the roof. It was probably a medpack. And there's that crate of medical supplies on the other side of that window, but I can't move fast enough to get to it before the radiation kills me, even with the hazmat suit on. JUST ONE MEDPACK, THAT'S ALL I WANT! WHY WON'T YOU GIVE IT TO ME?

ahem...

Anyway, I'm giving that a break before I start a new game.

once in a while I reinstall Planescape: Torment and give it some 10-20 hours.
Once in a while, I play GTA:SA that I never uninstalled (and never finished so far, I hate the fucking flying missions),
Sometimes I'll have a battle or two in first IL2.
You ever played MTA SA (MultiTheftAuto SA)? Its preety cool, it has a bunch of cool deathmatch and destruction derby modes. The RP mode is also very cool if you are into that.

OT: I finished Psychonauts and tried to start Grim Fandango not too long ago. I also went on a Tony Hawk spree (THPS 2,3 and 4)

I literally just finished a playthrough on Bloodlines. Played with CompMod on, I had Ash with me for most of the time, my character was a Nosferatu with lots of hacking and lockpicking, other people did the fighting and the talking for him. I went with the lone wolf ending, because hell yeah!
Awesome. Still occasionally mucking around Bloodlines, myself. I've also been replaying Mass Effect for the purposes of leveling a single toon all the way across three games. I've never imported a single save before and had three Sheps for three seperate adventures, because why the fuck not.

As for Bloodlines, I'll admit I mostly just reload my Nosferatu Warrens save and talk to Gary. About, oh, once a week or so. That comvo's just too fucking awesome.

Mircoprose's "Fields of Glory" (1993) - think Cossacks before Cossacks

SSI's Steel Panthers 3- Brigade Command [//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel_Panthers] (1997)- arguably the best of the Steel Panthers games.

I actually just fired up the N64, and I've been going through Banjo-Kazooie and the Legend of Zelda games
Ahh, to be ninja'd. Yeah I also hooked up the N64, and I discovered that as an adult Conker's Bad Fur Day is not at all as fun as I remembered it being. So that made me re-re-^9 play Banjo and Tooie, I'd like Threeie to surprise us with its very existence more than ever now.

I grabbed Kirby's Dream Collection recently, and I've been playing the games on there (in order). I'm up to Dream Land 2 right now.

Also, lots of Tyrian 2000.

Im currently re-re-re-replaying Resident Evil 2 (preparing for RE6). God, this game is so fucking awesome. The perfect follow-up to the first one . I mean, shit is F.U.C.K.E.D. in this game. The puzzles are still fun. The way that the 2 discs are 2 different scenarios really cool. Yeah, the dialogue and voice acting is not very good but the game overall is so fun it's just a minor complain.

Yeah, I mean I had some fun with Nuts and Bolts, just messing around trying to create crazy vehicles, but I want a Banjo Threeie game

I actually decided to retract what I'd just posted for reasons that I will not explain.
Not that my opinion's any different.

All I can say to this is that I'm so glad Sega is releasing the Heritage Collection. I've been having a blast playing Jet Set Radio. In addition, I just reinstalled Sonic CD, so there's that I've been aiming to play, as well.

I'm currently playing through xenosaga episode 1,2 and 3 . The story is amazing , i haven't played 3 yet , but i'm replayig the first two to get back into it . I wannna know how the story ends .
Just to let you know, Xenosaga Ep. 3 has an encyclopedia that let's you know everything that occurred in the previous installments and some detailed information on anything that you were probably questioning or were confused about. However, I think it's best to learn about the story through gameplay and cut-scenes.

A few things that I will mention about Xenosaga Ep. 3 is that the battle system is the best of the three, the story has so many plot twists it's ridiculous, and beware: it gets a little too religious as you head towards the end of the game.

OT: I'm thinking about restarting Disgaea 2 on my PS2 simply because it was my first Disgaea game and after completing 1 and 3, I know more about the game and can actually take advantage of all the is offered in the game (i.e. item world, residents, master/student skills, etc.).

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Damn, playing this game again reminds me just how great is was. Little things like temporarily disrupting the lights, throwing objects/whistling to get guards attention, even the ability to instantly throw a guy over your shoulder when you kill him/knock him out, they're all conspicuously absent from conviction.

That being said, the game controls like ass, but the sheer number of ways to progress through an area are staggering.

Do I blow the lights, then knife all the alerted enemies in the back? Stalk them one by one and drop them all unconscious in a corner? Create a distraction and then slip passed them completely unnoticed? Or do I charge in guns blazing?

This is how you do a linear stealth game. It's no wonder CT is still held up as a pinnacle in the genre.

Add in dynamic background noise (you can be louder in areas with higher background noise without alerting enemies) and the ability to complete the entire game not killing anyone other than certain targets and you have my favorite stealth game of all time.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Conviction, but it moved too far in the action direction to be a decent stealth game anymore.
I am on the second to last mission now and luckily I forgot 90% of the game so it's like new again!
In Conviction I killed everything that moved as all the AI were always bigging themselves up about how amazing they were and how they were evil.(pretty much asking to be dragged off a balcony)

In my run through of Chaos Theory I am listening to conversations and realising that they are just normal guys - some talk about how they don't want to be on shift or that they are having doubts about the bosses. Because of this I have changed my play style to total stealth, only knocking people out I need to and only having to kill (outside of the objective) once in the whole game - It was a quick reaction to being seen which I regret, but he was stood next to an alarm point.

I do love the dialog in this game though, the characters you meet are brilliant, the interrogations are often quite funny - i especially loved the dialog about Ninja's in the kidnap mission.(and the reference to the previous game)

Plus, it still looks pretty nice for an old game on PC!
