I pray to god every day for the ability to easily replay Thief 1 and 2 and System Shock 2. It hasn't happened yet.
You... actually managed to post the exact three games I was going to mention. Nice one.

But yes, it'd be nice. At least X-COM still works (thanks, DOSBox).

TIE Fighter. I've tried many times, but I just can't get it to run on my more advanced system.

Agreed. This and Sim Tower as well... Wanted to just dick around with it while watching tv or talking to people but it wouldn't run :-(

I don't remember the name but it's kind of a math teacher game with a detective mystery. You are this guy who walks and flips through a place and use a remote control to fight televisions by answering math questions. You gather clues and items to find the bad guy and win.

Another game from the same company made a science game where you collect boxes and build cars, planes, and blimps of the highest efficiency to win while dodging enemies. I really miss those games.

How ald are we talking? Cause I'd like to play the first Fallout, but alas, I need to stay focused on Mafia II.

I wish I could play games like Metroid and Zelda on a decent console and not the stupid bloody Wii.
"Beggers can't be choosers."

OT: Day of the Tentacle. That game was hilarious. Damn you Lucusarts, why won't you release it on Steam?

Damn, I miss that game.
Why don't you pick up a copy from GoodOldGames? It only costs 5 bucks and works with win 7.

I'm really into retro video games (I've a Retro Meet Up at the end of this month *excited*) so I don't really miss most of my games but I'd love to have a proper Monster Rancher 2 that doesn't keep freezing, it's kinda expensive now a days. Another one would be Kula World, you know with the beach ball? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol1usmZs9r8 which is also expensive and they're both second hand like.

For me It would have to be Dungeon Siege, it was a dungeons and dragons like adventure, in a good way. Pick up armor/weapons/spells from dead enemies and either put it on myself or my allies and continue tearing up a path of destruction on the mooks.

It was a good game...a pity I never beat it once I think about it. I enjoy roleplaying games, and if you can find this game and play it, give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.
I never beat it either, why don't you get it again? I was trying to sell one but no one wanted it lol you're the only person I know who heard of it

anyone else here play Crimson skies?really good airplane shooter game.wide variety of missions, easy controls, interesting story, what more could you want?Funny how they still make tha game so I bought new and tried to install but my disc drive wouldn't work so I had to get a new one which I installed then installed crimson skies but it turns out it doesn't work on this software.I tried combatibility but didn't work.I also tried changing it from running on software to just running by itself which worked but halfway threw the game it said it had a proble so I AGAIN tried combatibilty which worked but then the game went lag x10000000000000000000000000000000000000000 so I finally gave up:(

[edit] ahhhhhhhh nostalgia

Have you tried this?

Installer [http://www.start64.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1539&Itemid=72]

Makes it possible to install the game on operating systems with 64-bit and after you install you won't need the disc.

If it won't work than here's an excellent patch for XP, Vista & Win 7. Saved me three times and works wonder.

Patch - Bittorrent [http://www.onlytorrents.com/torrent/grim-fandango-xp-38;-vista-patch-webseed:702c4ae9b92551a21ec6c359d171959fdc56e02c][footnote]Ignore the fucking commercials[/footnote]
