Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the name of a old PC (DOS) Game. Probably somewhere beetween 1988-1995. I can't remember much of the game. I remember that you where playing a man (2D) and it was probably a Jump and Run or a Arcade game. In the beginning of the game you could walk the screen to different houses or levels, you could access most of them. In one of the levels there was a lantern or something like that to the left of the entrance on a platform (you had to jump in order to get there), which you probably had to collect. Also I can remember the game having very simple graphics, that was mostly very colourfull contours of the objects on a black background.
I don't suppose you're talking about one of the Commander Keen games?
@Zaltys: No, sadly I am not looking for Commander Keen. I think the game I am looking for was less popular.

I should've known that it wouldn't be that easy.
I can't remember any other games that match closely, except maybe Crystal Caves. It's colorful and the first screen acts as a level select. And since it's a mining-themed platformer there might've been lanterns. ...but most levels don't have a black background.

Do you happen to remember anything about combat in your game (or lack of)?

Heyy
so in the late 90s and earlys 20s (can't realy precise) i used to play this game that i realy loved.
it's about this sort of spaceship that moves around (not in space) in a map and destroys other ships. it unlocks doors and gets keys. i remember that weapons were used by numbers (such as 7 for rockets and 1 for bullets). i think it has "virus" in its name and im not quiet sure.
i would realy appreciate if anyone knows it ive been loking for it for a very long time.
Could be the Mac game ShadowWraith or its sequel: Souls in the System.
I'm afraid its none these. you could actually see the ship in 3D you're not driving it r something..

This one has been bugging me for quite some time. I believe it was on the N64. I think it offered 4-player splitscreen. You could pick from different character classes. I think there was some type of archer, and some type of magician/wizard. I know there was a female character. You would run around, third person view, sorta top down but more like a three-quarter view and kill bad guys. I wish I could remember more.
Gauntlet Legends?

This one is killing me. My uncle gave me this game for my bday circa late 80's early 90s. He thinks it was developed by Sierra but I'm not 100% sure on that. Here's what I know

1.) It's about whales (Not Whale's Voyage)

2.) Educational feel for most of it - you can go out and spot different types of whales - decent graphics at the time.

3.) The other part of the game was exploring this old whaling museum. Part mystery, etc.. You could click on Harpoons, look at paintings etc... But it was definitely a "mystery".

4.) Played on Apple 2GS

Any ideas????
I am also looking for this game. BUT it wasnt just a musium. You also would explore a mansion. It belonged to an old whaler. At one point you wake up and a picture of the old dude is beconing to you. Most of the story parts were all text based. The point of the game is getting all the clues and eventually opening the attic where you find the old mans journal.
And you skate board around a bit. (there was also 2 different versions of the game, one newer one older)
Thats all I know

So.... theres this game that i got from a game magazine cd (which i think it was a demo version), I think this request could be reeeally hard but plz, end my torment
It was a PC RPG/Action Adventure/Hack n Slash 3D game,I played it in 2003~2005 the protagonist was a shirtless white haired guy with 2 big swords, the begining of the game had a cutscene of him walking through a village with collapsed knights, then picking one up from the neck and talking to him (I couldnt understand the language, the game was probably chinese or russian) then the first stage began in this village, in an instance based map that had some really dull white zombie enemies.
It is a really low poly game and it had mechanics of changing swords, and keeping the attack button pressed for different time resulted in different attacks.
The inventory menu resembled alot the inventory from old Tomb Raider games, (the 3d items are organized in a big circle that spins as you cycle through them)
There was a sparring mode where you get to practice in a blue circle arena with a white zombie with infinite HP
I really wanted to remember the name of this game, glad if anyone could help >_>

- From around the year 2000, definitely before 2004, probably between 1999 and 2002
- PC game
- You would always drive an armored vehicle, a tank
- The setting was apparently not Earth, but some other (kinda barren, and blue-ish?) planet
- The design of the tanks was kinda futuristic, but not too much
- If I'm not mistaken, other tanks would appear and you could attack them
- I think the perspective was like 3rd person, but just above the tank.

It's not Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising, Battlezone, Incoming, Recoil, 3D Power Tank or Treadmarks. Additional info: the action took place close to the ground and at night. The tanks were futuristic, but just barely, not like those in Battlezone 2. You jumped right into gameplay, with no intros. I THINK. It might have been a demo or something...

@Zaltys: No it's not Crystal Cave either. I don't remember any form of combat! Also the graphics were mostly only colourfull contors.
Thank you for your help by the way :)

i'm trying to remember a 2D brawl sidescroller from the 90's

It's a game where you play as a CPU or a computer chip with legs(&hands) and googly eyes, and you punch, kick other computer components (monitor, floppy discs etc.) with eyes and legs. You can run and jump far.

hey guys, so I know this is a long shot but this has been bothering me SO much for quite awhile now..... ok, so I played this game around 2006-2007. I'm almost positive it was one of those "plug and play" consoles that you just plug into the TV. it was a little animated kids game, and I'm pretty sure you were a dog or cat or something, and you walked around this world and you could choose to do good or bad things, and you'd earn "angel" points or "devil" points, which would determine if you were naughty or nice. any ideas?! it's been driving my sister and I insane!
I used to play a game online that i would call strategy/puzzle. It involved little ball type guys sort of like emoticons of different colours that all had their own jobs for example yellow ones did not do anything but other colours let you alter gravity, weight, magnetism etc and you had to get a certain amount to the exit before you could move onto the next level. I hope someone can help me out its driving me nuts not knowing the name :)
I am guessing i am the only sad person that played this game.

I dont know how else to explain it other that you started with little coloured balls with faces in a world then you had to use the different jobs of the balls to move them all around. eg. use the pink ball to stop gravity then ALL the balls would float upwards to the ceiling then use the blue balls to push them across the ceiling then turn off the gravity ball so they all drop and this is how you would work your way around the level until you found the exit. You got one as close to the exit as you could then attract all the others to you and in doing so drag them towards the exit. I know there was 1 and 2 of this game so it must have been popular at some time lol
Any help would be much appreciated and help me keep my sanity.

I FOUND IT!!! MEEBLINGS.

Hey all! I'm looking for the title of a game I played on my Apple II GS back in the late 80's/early 90's. The theme was a dungeon puzzler, where you controlled a gray wizard with a staff. I remember the graphics being really good for the time. Each level had more complicated traps in it, the ones I remember specifically are little green acid pools that roamed around, little jets of fire in the walls and floor, and floor spikes. The end of each level was a ladder going down to the next level. Sometimes you would find little spells that would help you out. They'd make you invincible for a second or something.

The boss fight (really the only fight, if I remember right) was against a dragon who would breath fire at you, and the trick to the game was basically that if you used any of your spells (one-time use kinda deals) earlier in the game, you couldn't beat the dragon because you needed them all to fight it.

Anyway, I seem to remember that it had kind of an isometric view of the level, but I could be wrong about that. I also remember that the death animations for the game were pretty intense for the time. If the acid got you, you melted into a pile of bones, and if the floor spikes got you there was a bloody mess of an impaled wizard.

I think there may have been a version on the NES/SNES, but I wouldn't stake my life on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd love to see if I can find it again to see if it is still as hard as I remember!

Okay, so there is a game I remember playing on the PC when I was younger, and not being able to remember what it was called has been bothering me for years. It must have been between 1998 and 2005. The best I can describe it is that you are on an island, with a tank-like vehicle in a 3rd person view. The island is infested with giant wasps that will attack your vehicle. The mission, which I never beat (dumb little kid me...) was to find and destroy the hive, which is in front of a research building with scientists, and collect these water module things, which looked like little pyramids. You had to collect these to allow your tank vehicle to travel on water and off the island without taking damaged. You were equipped with a mini-gun and 4 missiles on the top of this vehicle. There were different difficulties, and the title screen had those wasps throughout it. For an old game it was a decent 3d environment with textures and everything. I think the game's name started with an A, and the icon sort of looked like a set of golden like gates. Might be wrong on the icon thing there. If ANYONE knows what this is, a bazillion thanks in advance for helping put this search to rest.

I think this was played on the windows 98 if I recall. 95 might be a bit too old.
Going to bump this. I know it's probably not a well known game, but somebody out there has to know! :p
Holy shit, so I didn't hallucinate this game. Please anyone find the name of this game.

I am looking for an old VG that ran on MSDOS.
The title was either Moon, lunar, moon surface, lunar surface...
the concept was very similar to digdug or dig. The goal was to clean the surface of the scheme to reveal a paradox image, that needed to be understood to advance.
I've look for it for many years, never found.

Hello everyone! I'm trying to remember a game from the 2000's (I think). It's an action based RPG in which you have three characters to choose from. A warrior/knight (weapon broadsword), an elf assassin (weapon dual knives), and a mage (staff). They all have special abilities, but I can only remember that the elf can go invisible. I hope someone can figure this one out!! Thanks in advance

(Edit) It's 3rd person (gta-ish view) and single player
