Hi, made an account to try to finally answer this question! :)

It's starts out as a tense, slow horror Adventure/RPG I guess. You start out (or arrive to, forget) an abandoned village, looks like all were killed by werewolf/gnoll looking monsters,...
And that might be Ecstatica?

OMG OMG OMG That's It! Sir, you just answered a 20 year old question. Thank You! You are my hero. Wish I could buy you a beer or 24!

Hello, I have stumbled upon this forum in my searches for a particular game, having exhausted all areas to look for this particular game I have decided to ask for help from fellow gamers on the internet. I will try to explain the game the best I can, and although it may not be much to go on I hope that someone might remember the name of it or anything that could help.

The game I am searching for was a text-based game online. The website involved table based websites with multiple colours on a black background. From what I remember the game was based around each player being a knight, who could level up and boost certain stats in the early stages. You could equip certain gear through text based inputs which would contribute to this stat score. The map was a kind of virtual map where you moved co-ordinates and it would encounter things at each "stage". I believe you could fight NPC's but could also fight other players and contribute in world like events that were announced in the world chat box. The main things I remember from the game would be the player base, the game revolved around a lot of chat in the world chat, and people always were ready to help new players.
edit: Also remember the game included numbers that were rather ridiculously high for a stat based game.
I remember playing the game around 2009-2010 potentially.

I understand this isn't the best information to go on, however this is just a whim that may turn out lucky, Cheers for your help.

This sounds very similar to Improbable Island.

Okay so I think this like a flash game, on a site the was something like AddictingGames. Its bacically starts where your walking on a beach and some hot girl shows up out of the future and tries to kill you beacaue you where so irrisistable that you had 100 kids and over populated the earth. Then a bunch of stuff goes down and she ends up in your basment as a memory-less drone, and along with taking care of a girl in your basment you have to try to get with all the outher girls in your niehborhood. You have to work on stuff like getting your charm/fitness up and getting a bunch of money to date all these girls. Its a pretty pointless game but its been nagging at me & I'd like to find it if anyone can help out.

Breaking some tiles would give you powerups like Bullets. This is the only game which i'm not able to forget but I never remembered its name because i used to play on my grandfather's pc & visited him like 3-5 times/month playing that game was one of the best Small developer made game.It had nice graphics tho.

Game is from the mid-late 80's for the sega mastersystem. It had good graphics for its time. You played as a samurai, or something with a katana. There were flying skulls withe fire and all kinds of demons that you had to slay. I think it had a Japanese flaming demon head on the cover with Samurai swinging at it, probably why it's all that stands out in my mind.

Another game I can't remember is from the early 90's and involved playing something that could morph into different kinds of dragons. You had to assume different forms to get places. Was on the turbografx 16.

Pretty sure your first game is Kenseiden [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEp-eODfYcA]; as for the the second... probably a long shot, but maybe Dragon's Curse [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6lQCgl01r4] (also known as Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap)?

I have a question. Do you remember an MS-DOS game from around 1990? It was more than just some ?action arcade? game. It was some sort of adventure puzzle solving game. You had to figure stuff out, and I only recall moving some man around. The graphics were good, but not 3D ?Doom? or whatever came to be later in the decade. Any clue what that game was? I remember it fit entirely on 1 floppy.

What else about the game? It was clearly an impressive game. Everyone felt it was "next gen" kind of a game. It was like you'd go into a room and have to solve some sort of cryptic clues. It was not an action game, BUT there were parts that did involve "arcade" style things like crossing a screen with moving obstacles. So, it was part adventure, part action. But, 80% puzzle solving. You were a guy and you'd walk around screens gathering clues. It was the kind of game you'd have to play for hours to solve.

It was a PC game. It was on a single floppy, which made it so impressive, since the game had depth. I recall the color blue when thinking of the man moving around the rooms/screens. The man would be like 1/4 the height of the screen, unlike a tiny PacMan, for example.

I'm looking for a game but I'm not sure about the release date but I remember playing it on a PC with Windows XP so the top release year has to be like 2008 but probably it is from way earlier, I think I got the demo from a PC gaming magazine CD.

Here is a list of things I remember about it:

- You control a floating shadow, guess you are a wizard or something like that because you could use magic.
- The world is kinda open and is a cold valley (mostly covered in snow if I'm not wrong) with a lot of mountains.
- You could buy troops on little town and/or villages to fight wolves, bears and other fantasy monsters.
- To make money you had to accept quest from those towns.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Probably an Apogee game. It's not Rise of the Triad, is it? Or maybe Mystic Towers? Maybe even Paganitzu... (heh, so different those games...)

Hey Guys!

Sorry but this will be rough in a way because I can't recall the whole game series really well since it's Japanese (If I'm not mistaken). Use to play this game on Playstation 1 and it's main character is a kid or a teenager with his friends who fight their opponents in a robot suit. You could say it's like a mech battle. It's basically like a strategy game and also, I remember when you select your robot to move, it has a blue guideline to indicate which you can move. (OK that totally is not relevant because I think most strategy game back then has this.. lol) But yeah...

The main robot character is yellow and one of his arm is a machine gun.
I remember after you defeat the opponents and end the match, you can upgrade your robots and make them stronger and better.

I guess that's all I can remember since this was pretty old.. well not really. Like i played the game in the 90's era.. (Which should be or could also end up in the 2000 - 2005)
Can't remember that much. After I played this game I remember playing Spyro Ripto Rage. lol

Hello guys, boy, it has been a while! I am indeed back to update and add to my initial post on this thread. Anyway, about a six months and also a year ago I posted this post below, and do not know how to check to see if my post was quoted or not, so, I suppose I will repost it:

There are now three games I do not recall, but remember bits and pieces of. One was solved, however They were both Playstation 1 games, with the new one being a old DOS/MacOS game. And I believe all were on demo discs at the time I played them. Those games were:

One is where you played as a robotic tank that was olive in color, with steel color claw arms, and tank tracks for legs. The character had an angled, slanted front, and it was an arena fighting game.

Not solved.

The second one was where you play as a flying futuristic car where police were chasing you, prompting you to shoot them where they explode. At one point you near a billboard where a beautiful woman on it before she changes into a skull and skeleton as there is a laugh of a woman which sounds disturbing. At the final point of the level, you go against some green ship, which I always died at.

This one was solved. The game was called R-Type Delta.

The third game I remember was a game where you had a shotgun and were killing bad guys in brown and green robes with their faces hidden. I also remember the howl of a wolf. I have been suggested that it was HeXen, but this not true. It was on Mac, I believe. It may have also been on the Duke3D Engine or DOOM Engine.

Solved.

Can anyone tell me the names of three games? Thank you very much if you can. Feel free to message me or post it on the forum.

This was also between the years of 1995 and 2001.

Hi, first game I played was at school, think it was on a pc or Mac, the game was a sidescrolles platform game but the maze or level fit all on one screen, your stick figure/outline character would start in one section ie the bottom corner and would have to make his way to the exit which was in another corner of the screen through a series of jumps mazes ladders etc, you were constantly chased by three other figures if they got you the level reset and you start over, your defence was to lay pits either behind or in front of you that would trap the figures or they would fall through platforms to the bottom and continue chasing. These figures if they died would spawn back in where they began the level so they were always chasing you, anybody know the name of this game

Time frame is around late 80's any help would be awesome, thanks

Bumping last week's thread since no replies

- About 10-15 years ago I remember playing a 3d space shooter games.

I think it was on windows 95.

It was arcade style - you looked behind your ship, moved it around the screen with your mouse and slowly waves of aliens would come and you had to shoot (mouse click) them while they moved around. If you couldn't hit them in time, they would fly towards you and if made contact with your ship you would die.

After a while you could get upgrades and then you would fight bosses. One of the upgrades is a bomb and when you right clicked it blew everything up on screen.

There was also this really rare powerup that I think I got once, which makes your ship spin round really quickly and send bullets everywhere for about 20 seconds, destroying everything.

The most striking search item I can think of is that after I few levels (I think level 2 but unsure) the game actually switches from being 3d to on it's side and the waves would come from the right in vertical lines.

There was no music from what I remember but the sound effects were quite eerie. The aliens would make all these strange sounds, and there was this computational style narrator who would say things if you got a powerup (Thing's like "power increased" but I don't remember exactly what he said).

I spent about an hour searching before I came here, and the closest picture to describe it is here - http://badgerheadgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/tapinvasionl6.png

Although it was much better graphics (as it was 3d) and there was nothing at the bottom (except your ship)

The game did have a score system and was very difficult (probably due to the 3d aspect), I never beat it nor got close.

Hi

After hours upon hours of looking for a favorite game of the 80's, this forum is (almost) my last resort ...

I am looking for the name of an arcade game, side scroller, where you had a spaceship that started with a meager canon and through the gameplay you could collect upgrades, like double- or triple-shot canon, bombs and lazers. I especially remember the very thick lazers (white) that burnt everything in their way. at the end of each "run" was a boss (if I'm not mistaken).

It's not Gradius (although it's similar in a way). I know it only as an arcade machine, and never saw it on any computer or game console

Help, please :)

Ok I'll try and for hope the best..

It's a Game that I used to play on Windows 95/98 About this Fantasy game was about a kind of Sorcerer with his Wife and a Dragon, Don't remember the plot but Suddenly the Dragon gets sick or struck by lightning and you need to find him a cure. You can throw yellow orbs and you needed to go to different places.
The main (male) character it looks bald with a pony tail, really old graphics btw, and at the start of the game you had to watch a cinematic about him and the Dragon flying together.
