Hello, i have been looking for a game that used to play when i was little. It is on the PS2 for sure. You basically raised and trained monsters. You go to an area in the menu that lets you get a new monster. When you do this you take the game disc out and put a movie or another game in. The game or movie gets scanned and when you put the game disc back in it give you a monster Ranked F to SS.
It would be lovely if someone knows this game.
Probably one of the games in the Monster Rancher series.
It isn't monster rancher I just looked at some of the images. That is defiantly not it. I'm fairly sure this game was not in a series.
weird. cause im pretty sure only the monster rancher series had this type of gameplay mechanics
and was actually notorious for it since the ps1 era

Trying to recall a game I used to play for SNES as a child.

The game in question was a side scroller where you played as a dude with a trench coat and a cool sword who reminded me of the Highlander animated series. It had a steampunk theme. There was also an optional fighting game mode where you could choose any of the boss characters and fight 1 v 1 vs human or CPU. Thanks.

EDIT: Perhaps I'd classify it as an "action platformer" similar to Ninja Gaiden or Contra in overall mobility but your dude had a lifebar like a fighting game.

I'm trying to find an old edutainment PC game from the early 2000's
You play as a detective investigating a cast of monsters gaining clues by completing the educational minigames, including a boggle clone, a game where you choose single letters to make words against one or two opponents, one where you bounce mice on a piano keyboard to make words ECT.
The monsters inculuded a Mummy woman, a large red monster that acted like a coach in a hawaiian shirt, and you partner is a green creature with a horn who didn't have a mouth

Made this account because I'm DESPERATE to find this game. I remember it being on Friv.com. It was a game where you were a man who was in the hospital.
I wanna say he was in a coma, but I do remember seeing the hospital room from his POV so he may have just been really depressed or something. You walked as him through a dream land, very dark, wistful, and mysterious. You interacted with objects clearly from his life. He wears a hospital gown.
I cannot remember the name of this game for my life. It's been driving me insane for years. If anyone has any clue, please let me know!
And the game isn't Coma, I have played that and it definitely isn't.
Hmm, it is a bit of a long shot, but perhaps Sanitarium? Can't say I've been to Friv before and am unable to check. Character is wearing the gown, face heavily bandaged, and you do go through several grim, dream like places and interact with things from your life. Though you don't find out he is in a coma and see the hospital till late in the game.

Hi all, tried looking through the thread but it's far too long to read the whole thing.

Pretty sure this game was around 1995-2000 I remember it being 2d puzzle sort of game but relatively good graphics for its age *edit: The game looked hand drawn but to quite a level of detail*. The only level I really remember involved a rocket taking off at the end once you'd solved it. Don't really think I knew what I was doing when I played it. Also seem to remember a hallway which may have been the central area from which you went to new levels.

Seem to remember the Encarta program opening in the background when I played it as well but it definitely isn't mindmaze and anything I search to do with encarta comes up with that.

Apologies for my awful description but it's driving me mad. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, how are you?
I'm trying to find a game I played on PS1 when I was a kid.
All I remember is:

* It was a third person shooter. (Now I am doubtful if it was first person, but it is almost certain that it is in the third person)
*The character wore a type of machine gun and killed monsters.
*I remember having three characters and to release the next you had to finalize the game.
*The sequence of phases varied according to the character.
*I remember there was a character in a nurse costume (Doctor maybe?).
*I remember a boss that you faced him on a platform in the last wagon of a moving train, he had huge hands and was approaching you.

I'm going crazy, I can hear the voice of the game PERFECTLY when you die and start counting to continue: "Continue? 9, 8, 7, 6 ..."

Pc game time frame 1995 > 2000

You are in a haunted mansion or something and you must escape but spirits which are shown as floating faces block your path. You can get rid of them by finding these colored orbs and an item that belongs to the spirit. Pointing and click moving system. Middle room has star globe in it. May also have a creepy jack in the box in starting room.

Cheers

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a game, but I don't remember a lot about it.
All I know is it was some kind of a mining game, where you had your workers, goblins... don't remember what they were.
You had a look from above on the whole setting, but you could dive into a 3D perspective by selecting one of your workers and control him all by yourself! You could mine gold and I'm pretty sure some more things too.
There was some kind of a level-screen and you went through the whole game level after level.
I also remember chickens, don't know what they were good for, but you could breed them and kill them, it was pretty much fun.

Thanks and goodbye

Sounds like Dungeon Keeper (1997):

or perhaps the sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2 (1999):

Hello.
I've been searching for a game I used to play on win98, old game. It was fun and the whole family played it.
So, it was in 2D, I think you were in a role of a miner and you had to complete several levels, by killing all the monsters in the level or getting to the finish(I think)...first monster I remember is a blue thing, its moving like your charecter - following your steps, others are like some kind of aliens, purple, red,... While you were digging dirt, you could move rocks and with them you could kill some of the monsters (if it fell on them). You could also use dynamite and bombs to destroy something.
First room is full of dirt and two blue monsters, one is trapped in a rock room. There is one more level full of rocks, and you had to move them so the entrance to complete the level is opened.
Oh, and when you die there is a picture of a death stone and R.I.P. on it.
I tried to find it, but all I could find were some newer versions on the online sites for games, not so cool. :(

Thank you in advance!
I am also still looking for this or very similar game. I think I was playing it on Commodore 64.
I only remember that when you died tombstone appeared with RIP written on it and funeral march song was played.
If anyone knows the name I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Early 2000's PC game. First person male adventurer/anthropologist/treasure hunter something of that nature. I believe there was a sequel to this game. Mostly in the jungle, I remember the island Borneo being specifically mentioned. I remember specific things: you're in a leaking submarine and you need to find the right coordinates to find a sunken pirate ship. When you get to the ship you play a card game. Another part, you have to maneuver a kayak through a swampy river and dodge bugs as you go along. Another part, a statue of the god shiva? (Multi armed figure) is holding mirrors and you need to move the hands/arms to get to the next part. A vague recollection of a monkey friend, tribalish flute music, reading letters from someone. It was one of my Dads games when I was little pre 2006. I remember the cover of the game having the main characters face and I believe the title may have been his name. This has been driving me insane for years. Any help is appreciated.

It was an old pc game. may have been on ps1 or something else as well, but I'm certain it was on pc. It was A 2D platformer about A family that goes on A road trip/vacation. I know they end up underwater, and there you play as the son, and I believe that they end up on an island belonging to some sort of tribe. I also believe they ended up In the desert with no gas, and the son proposes the idea of using sand as gasoline. I think I've said everything I remember about this game, ring any bells?

Hello!

I am looking for an older pc game (time frame from 2000-2005). If I am remembering right, there was a detective on the front inside a looking (spy) glass the icon was brown in general. I remember like traps being involved. You had to navigate through the room without setting them off. I think it was a pre-installed game that came with one of my uncles old Dell desktops. Not sure if wildtangent was involved or not. I know the OS was Windows XP. I remember playing it, FATE and Polar Bowler.

Any help finding this game would be amazing! Thanks in advance,

Cameron.

hi guys i'm looking for a game that i've played when i was in my teens, though i dont remember much of it

it was an RTS game (i think) with a fantasy setting. what i remember was that there were multiple camps where you could make your troops such as a warrior, archer, there was even a werewolf that was hard to kill. I somewhat remember that it wasn't a very resource-based game, and that each unit counted. You can only give vague unit commands (such as attack, defend, scout). Also it was a low unit count game.

Sorry the description is too limited. But I badly want to find this game. any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

On the NES I remember playing a game that had four characters to choose from and I think they were thieves (not sure). You had to start off from the roof tops, the 1st level. Then I think you went in a house or mansion. There was a cell phone item which you used to swap characters mid level.

It had a shitty design, as I remember not liking it much visually. But my sister and I used to play it a lot. A lot, it was fun.

But just can't seem to remember the name of it since my PS1 days.
