Howdy,
Looking for an old (90s) top down game (on pc) similar to gta, though appeared to be set in the future. Pretty sure the characters wore black coats and you clicked around the screen to move them. From what I remember it was set in a city. Not much info to go on.

Been looking for this on and off for a while.

Cheers
Probably something of a long shot, but I'm thinking either Syndicate [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACVZ5b8wW14] or its sequel, Syndicate Wars [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O87onegK3KA].

Game Breakdown: From the 90s: You are a cop in the future police department of San Francisco where the fog stays around always and is poisonous. Gameplay was in two sections. Part 1 - you flew a combat aircraft and fought gangsters in their own aircraft, then located the enemies to arrest them and summoned a little robot box thing to pick them up.

Part 2 of the game was questioning the crook arrested, offering them time off their sentence in order to answer questions. If you didn't play the countdown right, you never made the arrest.

There was also a storybook that went with it, talking about a guy who gets zapped to this future time and has to adjust to his new role as a cop/top gun pilot. Any clues?

Someone please help me. I dont remember much about the this old game or what year it was. But the game was on old dell desktop that my mom used to use. The game was 3D and had these different colored cubes. some would break away and i think others would combine it was played on a flat board and you would also be able to create your own custom levels. I know its not much information but if someone can help that would be great.

Hello. I've never used a forum so bare with me. I've been looking for a game for so long now. It's a game where you possess people. You're on a ship or something and you try to gain access to other parts of the ship. It was in first person view as well. Can you help me?
Hmm, another possibility could be Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason, in that you are on an iced up ship. Not sure if that technically counts as possession, since you interact with dead crew to flashback to just before their death, controlling them in order to have a different outcome. Time based possession maybe? Succeeding usually results in access to other parts of the ship.

Hey, im looking for a game.

Platform: PC (others too, idk)

Type: RPG, you level up and you spend points on stuff like strength. The combat system was magic/melee weapons, you could specialise in either. Turn-based, instance combat, from around year 2002-2007

The main protagonist is female character. The main antagonist - end game boss - is female character too.

I remember the game starting with the group of 3-4? by the campfire, and having some chest full of spoils. I think the final boss was in this group of people. Our playable female character too. everyone went sleep by the campfire. When woke up in the morning, the treasure was gone along with everybody (?)

We start in the global map, and can move to instanced areas like town/city, or just explore in general The encounters with monsters are random as you travel on the world map. The game is sort-of similar to septerra-core in terms of camera.

The combat is turn-based i think, you could charge 1/2/3 'pipes' of attack i think, cant remember

I remember perception stat increases 'initiative' so you attack firs. Each fight starts with initiative bars at the bottom, whichever drails/fills first starts the fist turn. The fight takes you 'out' of the world map into an instanced area, very similar to heroes3 battles.

There was this 'antimage' mid-level monster you could encounter sometimes that was immune to magic, so annoying. Maging was much easier earlygame than melee.

Endgame boss usually killed u in one hit. so you had to kill her first before she hit you.

I remember in oriental-samurai city there was a lovers quest where you could either bring them together, (i think the guy was common and the lady was noble thats where the problem was), or you could break it up.

I remember there were 3 main towns (or more? not sure) first was small town close to the campfire location on world map, 2nd was mid-level oriental city, 3rd was stone castle/city.

The plot is basically that the end-game female boss is sending more monsters on map, thats why there is harder world encounters over time.

P.S. i think the first town's gate was locked (for some reason) and we had to sneak-in or find the key to open it. Then the sheriff(?) gave us permission to travel the way we wishin the future.

P.S.2 I think that our female hero had brown hair, whilst the antagonist lady had blonde hair. They might have been sisters (?) Shes using some form of dark magic or some artifact to summon more powerful evil monsters to the realm, and is surprised when our lady hero refuses to join as she has 'redeemed' herself from past evil life (as shown at beginning of the game when they stole the treasure) through heroic actions.

Michael.

Hey,

Looking for a PC game from the late 90s - early 00s I reckon. Can't remember much but I think it was basically a point & click where you'd go from one room to another. You're not controlling anyone and can't do much when in a "room" appart from moving objects and clicking on stuff. I can only remember 2 actions :

- In a room there was a ball that you could grab and throw around. If you threw it hard enough on the left side (I think) you could hear a window being smashed.
- In another room, there was a flowerpot, empty at first, but you could grow a plant/small tree in it I think and move it around.

I think the whole game premise was based around Elements ? But no sure about that. The whole game "universe" didn't really make sense to me, there wasn't anyone to talk to or a clear storyline as far as I can remember.

I can't remember anything more about this game and it's driving me nuts !

A 2D side scrolling platformer where you play as a small creature that throws water ballons/balls/bubbles at enemies and use them to solve puzzles and stuff. I've searched for any information on the game and I created a thread dedicated to figuring out what it was but to no avail. I'm not sure it really existed at all. Maybe it was a vision from God and I'm supposed to design it?
Titus the Fox - played as small fox usually throwing stuff at your enemies. I remember I could struggle with some parts for hours yet still having so much fun :)

I was looking for this game for quite some time by now. From what I remember it was a puzzle game where you`re in control of a little green ball that can walk, jump and it also had something like a green tendril that you can use to attach to fixed points on the map and swing around to get to the end of the level. This so called tendril or extendable arm can also be used to deflect the ball from a wall or something else on the map.

So I remember a game I used to play all the time as a kid. It was like pet society. It came out in the mid 2000s. It looked a bit different and it was a lot better. It had a social aspect to it. From what I can remember you played as a pet and you had to level it up. You could decorate the house it loved in. It was a 2d side scrolling game. A lot of people used to have a picture of their pet in their ending border on some forums around the web. They also had a bunch of stuffed animals for your pet to have. They would always release a new one for the holidays. They also had awards for like playing for so long like an award for your pet being 3 years old.

I can't remember what the game was called. It is bugging me so much. If You have the slightest idea please let me know. I remember the look of the game. If I were to see it again I could tell.

Hello guys

I've forgotten the name of vertical shooter, I played in 2003-2004 on PC. I moved green spaceship (or something like this). I shot into group of different monsters and after some amount of rounds, I had to defeat the boss. First boss was yellow fish and final boss was a strange creature surrounded by 4 or 5 red flowers. Other bosses were: green dragon, snail (appeared 2 times) and the big monster, but I don't remember exactly how he looked like (it was boss number 2). Thank you very much for help!

Alright so this is my first time posting something like this and I just wanted to thank Troyrich for creating this thread because I made an account just for this. Thank you very much, good sir.

Also, this thread now has 770 pages so I apologize if these games that I describe are in here but I don't really have the time to go through all 27000 posts.

1) So, the first one is a PS2 game (I'm pretty sure, maybe GCN?). It was a racing game that had a course that looked like it was on the bottom of a kid's room with a track that was set up on blocks on the floor and that seems like it was a Hotwheels game but everything I've looked up doesn't look quite right, although the reason I'm posting is because my memory is failing me so I could be wrong.

2) This one is a flash game. You played as a spaceship and you could be one of two factions(red and blue?) and it was like an MMO and you went on missions to destroy a certain number of ships of the opposing faction (I think there were other missions too, related to mining and exploring?). You could upgrade your ship and make it better but if it was destroyed then you had to start over from the beginning ship, although I'm pretty sure you kept your progress, just not your upgrades. I'm also not sure if it was actually an MMO or not but there were a lot of other ships. OH! And the map was relatively large and I'm like 95% positive it was grid based. The last time I played this was also long enough ago that I'm not sure it even exists in a playable form anymore. Not 'beginning of the internet' old but at least 8-10 years and I'm not sure it had enough support to go on for too long, especially as a free flash game, if it even was an MMO or something to that effect.

3) And, finally, another PS2/GCN game (maybe). It was a car game that was destruction derby-esque where you could drive a multitude of cars around a track and the goal was to destroy the other cars and finish first. The only thing truly significant I can remember is that one of the vehicles you could choose was a school bus.

Thank you again to Troyrich for creating something like this for gamers and thank you to anybody who can help me find any of these games.

Could be a Twisted Metal game.

Hello, reposting.
I`m looking for a very old game, somehwere from betwean 1990-2000. It`s a PC, 2D sidescroller where you could play as 1 of the 3 classes - mage, archer and warrior(no not Trine, Trine is 2009). So what you did is, you had to walk through the dungeons collecting gems and fighting different kinds of foes, doing some mediocre platforming, you could also upgrade your characters skills if i`m not mistaking. And as far as I remember, I haven`t played this game in 10, or more, years, the final boss was some large skeleton with a crown.
The heroes all looked like dwarfs or maybe even Vikings, but it`s not any of the "Lost Vikings" games.
And yet again, if my memory doesn`t fail me miserably, the executable was called dwarf.exe or dwarf2.exe (cause that was what it looked like on my desktop at the time, cause I spent so much time in front of it)
Also if this helps, the style was a bit cartooney and it`s certainly not "Golden Axe" or "Gauntlet Legends"

A but more description from someone a few months ago:
This is one of those games that I had for a bit when I was young and then never got to play again, memorable to me because of the soundtrack, and the world was surprisingly large to the point that I remember getting lost in it. There were a few different versions of the game that seemed to be different worlds, one was an ice castle/caves and one was a moonlit forest. Got kind of a dreamlike vibe of it, but thats probably just nostalgia speaking. I'd definitely get a kick out of seeing this one again.

PS2 game. It was probably released early 2000s. RPG and looked like Final Fantasy or Japanese style in general with 3D graphics. I think it was a trilogy because I remember when you have all 3, the bindings connect to make a picture. I think there was a cut scene where a person was like swallowed by dark matter or something. You play as a guy and are able to ride a bike of some sort. Futuristic setting, again similar to FF.

No, it wasn't top down like that, is was like a typical racing game, from behind the car.

No, there weren't any special weapons or anything.

Thank you for answering though!

Idk if they had school buses (I only played 3 and Paradise) but could it be one of the 'Burnout' games, in those games you race and destroy cars at the same time so could be that.

Before 2010 i've played a isomettric rpg game with cybors, it's almost the same as STATIS (2015).I can't remember the name, i've been trying ti search with the help of google images and no succes at all.

You choose a cyborg at beggining, you are doing some missions and you can upgrade body parts like brain weapon etc.
