I'm trying to remember an old action game from either 1999-2000.

It had an Isometric perspective, like X-Com. But was real time, and you were searching through dark, military base like areas that look a lot like an Aliens aesthetic.

Played a lot like Cyber-dogs/Diablo, and had really impressive almost, Fallout caliber backgrounds.

You controlled a Mercenary and could explore your ships' cabin between missions. Rooms included a briefing room where you selected your next mission. Your room, where you could look at your mission history, experience level, Weapon Inventory, etc.

I used to play it on a computer at my old high school. One of my tech savvy friends had installed it because it could be played without the CD on the computers.

Can anyone please help me figure out what this game was called?

This one has been bugging me for years, so any help would be well appreciated! It was a children's point-and-click adventure game from the 1990s, and I only ever had a demo of it. As far as I recall, it was about a boy who was shrunk to the size of a bug and had to solve various...bug-related problems? IDK, I know that there were a lot of bug trivia questions you had to answer in the demo, like about dung beetles and stuff like that. IIRC, he also had some kind rival who said "Uck! Uck! Rotten luck!", but googling that hasn't brought anything up.

The same demo CD also came with a really weird alphabet game demo where, like, to learn about "X," you could x-ray things. I think the company's logo might have had a lamp or lightbulb in it, but I don't remember for sure. Definitely wasn't Pixar, though, lol.
That sounds like one of the Ecoquest series of games to me.

Hey guys! I had to register to post this cus jees I've been wondering for too long!

I have two riddles for you.

The first game is seen from above and is 2D. It was for the PC, and I played it in early primary school so my guess is it was for Win95. You play as a gray wellbuilt man/machine who runs around in sort of a maze and shoot enemies who look like yourself. I seem to remember it was really hard to find a weapon, and without it you were pretty much useless. THis is about all I can remember.

The other one is a 2d platformer, seen from the side. You choose levels similar to mario. Standard platformer but I can't remember much. There was an overworld, I am pretty sure. And there was an ice level if I remember correctly where you would slide around. This was also for the PC.
I'm not sure about the first one, but the second game sounds like Commander Keen.

Hi. Looking for a game i only played the demo of back in the day, Basically you played the bad guy and you had to defend your castle against the good people attacking. You selected the types of monsters you wanted and just let them loose in the battlefield. You could even capture heroes and mutate them together to make new monsters. I also remember you could join the battle and fight as well.

any help would be appreciated :)
That totally sounds like Dungeon Keeper. Great game.

I've been trying to find this game for months now with no luck. It's been such a long time since I've played it that it almost feels like I dreamt of it and can barely remember the details. But anyway, here's what I do remember.

I think I played this when I was around 8-13, so it would have been anywhere from 1999-2004.

It was a free online game played on my PC.

- Game Type: Point and click puzzle/adventure, single player. It is similar to Chasm for those of you who have played it before. Here's a link to Chasm http://www.miniclip.com/games/chasm/en/ and a pic for those on phones http://i4.ytimg.com/vi/gj7c-my-NQg/hqdefault.jpg

- Perspective: side-view

- Animation: Pretty sure it was Flash, colorful and pretty smooth cartoon look.

- Character: I'm pretty sure there was only one guy. He was an asymmetrical, plump, eggshell white humanoid. I think his eyes were slightly different sizes. He didn't have a mouth and his head was kind of like a raindrop. The point on top was his hair that was curled into a spiral. I don't think he ever said anything, and he didn't wear clothes.

- Setting: Definitely underground, like a cave system. That much I can remember. That was the guy?s house I think. It was furnished with knick-knacks and cool, fantasy technology. For example, I believe at the end he leaves in a rainbow unicorn horn lollipop rocket, shaped like one of these http://pinterest.com/pin/85075880432745345/ but huge.

- Goal: Go around the cave and find the things he needs to leave. I think maybe he was trying to find his world or his family or something.

- Mood: This was a lighthearted fantasy game.

Thanks!

Hi guys, i'm trying to remember a game I think I had a demo version of from an old PC magazine disc. I THINK it was the same disc that had the StarCraft shareware demo on.

The game was some kind of space/astronaut first person game. Not even sure if it had guns or not as I was too young to figure out what I had to do or how to do anything and just wandered pointlessly. You were on a moon I think in some kind of moon base and there were various vehicles and buildings you could get into. Graphically I think it was quite blocky, but 3D and 1st person. Sorry it's a bit vague but it's killing me! It would've been out probably around the mid to late 90's.

Big thanks if anybody can help me out here!

Hi, I used to have a game back in the day on the PC. It was around 1995-1999! The game was some sort of proffesor puzzle game, where you hold to solve puzzles / missions using the items given to you on the side. Some of the puzzles was like... Letting the mouse reach his cheese without letting the cat get him. You had to use items such as pipes / ledges / boxes / fans / balls / random items to help the mouse reach the destination. Another puzzle would be to flick the switch to turn the light on, so again you had to use the items you had to get a ball or something to flick the switch on to complete that puzzle. Another was letting a boy/girl reach his house safely, or get all the balls into all the pockets on a pool table when you start it.

The game was 2d, you had to put the items you thought would work on the screen to where you thought it would work and push play to get it working so you know if you're right or wrong!

Sorry for the brief description, its all i know how to describe it, been looking for this game for years :p
I'm 100% sure you are talking about the Incredible Machine.

In my search for these two games I found this forum and joined PLEASE help Its driving me crazy! I will provide as much info as possible. I remember playing both games on my pc when I was 6 so they're from the year 2000 or less

#1 was a run of the mill paddle ball brick busting game, i thought it was mac brick out but after checking it out the levels and powers didn't match the ones i remembered. ok things i remember level 4 had a black back round and the bricks were all multicolored, there were power ups in the form of pills one that shrunk your paddle and one that multiplied the balls, and one that made your ball radioactive or something it turned red and went through bricks instead of bouncing of, like the one in blaster ball but not that game .I never got passed level 11 which might have had a green back round with metallic bricks. that's all i got, maybe it was mac brick out but another version.

#2 was an asteroid busting game for pc , it was sort of 3d level 1 started out with 3 asteroids and a galaga like spaceship you control with the arrow keys. The object of the game was to destroy everything in the level even the smallest asteroid piece. the asteroids would break after you shot them(depending on what level weapon used)once or a few times, the pieces could get as small a bead. The asteroid pieces would float around off screen and come out the other side, the same goes for the spaceship, i remember i used to go in one direction just shooting while the ship picked up speed for fun until i hit an asteroid. you didn't die from colliding into one, i think you had a shield level that lowered every time you got hurt and would eventually go up if you avoided damage long enough. there were other weapons, but the only one i can confirm real was a machine gun like weapon, that you got way into the game. after level i other things would start to appear like aliens that reminded me of manta rays which squiggled around other aliens appeared but i cant remember them. after beating the boss( a giant red thing with eyes you had to shoot i think) the level went to the first stage but had aliens and stuff introduced right away, you also kept whatever weapons accumulated (like the machine gun). I would usually loose shortly after that and the game would start off at 1.

that's everything i know please help me find these games!
The first one is DX-Ball

I've recently thought of a game that I used to play ages ago on the PS1, I can't remember the name of it.

I think it was two players. You start off in a graveyard I think and you fight monsters. After like 10 minutes in the level, you encounter 2 gargoyles that fly. I remember vaguely of a woman who had a big wooden stick that she'd use to hit with and a man with a black trenchcoat or something. I think the movement was like the old Tomb Raider game, where you can't strafe but you turn then walk forward.

Anyone, please? D: I've been trying to find this game for ages.

There was a game back in the Windows' 95 glory days with a red car, where you were driving on a road next to the beach. On the sides there were palms(obviously) and sometimes restaurants ( diner). It had more levels, and I remember that one was on a green field and it had a lot of windmills on the side. If you press space you can get other cars on the street ( There were yellow VW Beetle lookalikes , trucks and others). There was a girl with you in the car. If you'd have crashed the car, it would roll over and the girl (blonde) would get angry. Can you helpp me find it?

So glad I found this forum, and I'm hoping someone here can help. I tried to scan the posts to see if anyone asked about this game already, but 222 pages is a lot to look through, I apologize if I'm repeating a post.

80's arcade game (anywhere from 83-89). I THINK you were a man in a space suit shooting some kind of aliens. It was a multidirectional game, side view, non auto scrolling. Gun upgrades were randomly placed around the levels, and I seem to remember some of the levels being very large.

I thought I might have found the answer with Section Z, but section Z is an auto scroller, and I know for sure that this game wasn't.

Thank you to anyone and everyone that might point me in the right direction.

Hi, I'm wondering if you will be able to help with that problem of mine. I struggle with this for years! Also apologize if I'm reposting.

There was an old game with isometric view, but quite nice graphics. Had this on Win98 or 2000? (...or maybe XP? naah.. don't think so)
In demo mission you had a group (familiar to fallout tactics, one has medic skills) to rescue your friend who was kidnapped by those vicious aliens (Maybe Predator-like? Don't remember) on spaceship. And there was time limit, because your lost comrade was imprisoned uncounscious in some uhm... plant? tentacles? and it sucked life out of him. Anyway, when the rescue party ended victorious, you go and clean rest of ship of aliens and their mother. Oh, and if I recall, you didn't die, you lose consciousness and someone from crew could drag you to the uhm... specific beds and poof! nice and healthy.

Yes, quite complex. I don't know where to look anymore. Gonna cry.
Please help.

There's 3 games I remember playing demo's of in the late 90's but can't remember their names. I think the demo discs were from PC monthly around the same time that Deus Ex and WarGames demos came out.

1. The first one is a 3rd person game where you drive around a tank in the future fighting loads of enemies. I think the intro screen had something like "Freedom fighters in the future have somehow connected their new (stolen?) super weapon to your computer and need your help in piloting the thing. there was a lot of browns and reds.

Any help would be appreciated. been driving me mad for ages! :(
I loved playing that game. Recoil is it's name i think

Hey I'm trying to think of this game I used to play on the ps2. It's a 3d side scroller where you're flying a space ship and fighting alien looking robots and such and I distinctly remember the last boss being a blob of metal that could shoot lasers out its mouth and you would have to hide in between its blob. Anybody know what this is?? Thanks
