Hi All, signed up because this is irritating me now.
Details are vague, so I'm sorry in advance.

The game was on the PS2
I'm pretty sure it was made by Squaresoft/enix and I'm remembering it reminded me of FF.
The main character had Red hair I believe and the game had something to do with collecting pieces of pendants? Which you could maybe summon?

The main guy also had a massive sword and you would walk around in 3rd person looking for these pieces of pendants.

This is all i can remember, i also remember the first few levels being very grey.

I don't think it was a bit his as i remember it being reduced dramatically shortly after i purchased it new.

GOod luck, and thanks in advnace!

Have you checked the Square Enix PS2 list? ( sort by System, there aren't that many for PS2 ) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Square_Enix_video_games )
Thanks Man, i have already checked that though, i couldn't seem to find it, i think i would recognize the case if i was to see it, but having said that im Based in the UK< so i imagine cover art would be different.

Also, it may not be made by Squaresoft/enix - But i seem to remember that being the reason i tried it.

Thanks for the suggestion though :)
I'll assume it's not a Square Enix game then :) What about Legaia 2? (never played it myself) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legaia_2:_Duel_Saga )
Nope! Haha, it only popped into my head this morning and ive decided i want to find a ROM of it for nostalgia.
I really cant think of any further detail, and the fact it was over 5/6 years ago is probably causing me to recall poorly.
Feels like the name of the game is on the tip of my tongue. :(

Research will be done!

Just found this thread so I thought I'll give it a go...

I can't remember much about the whole game, but I do remember one particular mission. It is a top-down, turn-based (maybe?) strategy, and this mission was set in what I can only say was 'Wild West'. The level was fairly large, with lots of rooftops and ledges. You started off with a few units, one being a sniper. I can't remember the rest of them. I do know that the crux of the gameplay was selecting your units and shooting at the enemies.

Beyond that, I cannot remember. As for the time period, it was about 10-12 years ago. It was definitely on PC, and I think it must have been fairly well known since my father was the one who downloaded it, and he wasn't massively into games.

That's all I have to go on, I'm afraid. Thanks in advance!
Fallout Tactics? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_Tactics:_Brotherhood_of_Steel )

No, its not that. It is similar, but less futuristic, ie none of the robots and power armor...
What about Jagged Alliance 2? Less robots ;) ( http://i1-games.softpedia-static.com/screenshots/Jagged-Alliance-2-Wildfire-3-Trainer_3.jpg )

Hi people, help me out.

I wonder does someone know what game Im willing to know,PC game I played between 1998-2004. The game was like: I am a guy in a spaceship and I kill aliens and survive. Only things I remember is that you have a pistol and in the spaceship there was these pods or whatever where aliens were "sleeping", you could see them trough the glass of them. And there was all nice scifi "computers" everywhere and buttons/similar things that had blue glow around them.
The game might be a demo.. I think it didn't have a long name and if I remember right in the main menu there was a space and a ship was hovering there. AND i think it was from 3rd (gta style) or 1st person view mode.

thanks

Alright, I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this game in the thread but I don't really feel like checking all 326 pages. Besides, this one seems pretty obscure so I doubt I'll get a reply for it.

I played it more than a decade ago, and the game itself was probably much older, since I remember it being in black & white. I played it on some sort of a computer though it wasn't Windows OS or DOS. (The thing that looks to be closest to it in outside appearance is an old IBM PCjr). I don't remember anything about the software of the system other than the 'main screen' being just a list of software, most of them games.

The game was a side-scroller, but I don't remember if the screens were static or not.

The main character was some sort of a robot, he could transform into different forms. One of them was a humanoid that could jump far but was somewhat slow when walking, the other was a velociraptor (I think) and there was also a smaller robot (looked a bit like R2D2) that used tracks (like the ones on a tank) to move and had some sort of a radar ability, and a gun (I think).

One of the first levels was in a jungle of sorts, and after that came a futuristic looking factory complex where some sort of a humanoid robot kept killing me and stopping my progress every time I played.

A bit more about the platform. I remember playing chess on the same machine (probably one of the games from the "Colossus Chess" series, since I remember being able to switch between 2d and 3d view of the board.) Another game I remember playing was a bit like "F-15 Strike Eagle" for the ZX Spectrum, don't remember the name of that thing either :\ . I also remember there being a strategic game on the system that was set in the local war http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeland_war the game was even translated into Croatian.

Also the system had a minifloppy drive (that's the 5 1/4 inch floppy) though I don't remember using it... ever.

The machine had a huge red on/off switch on its side, close to the rear, I'll never forget that thing :D

I've been looking for this Japanese game since last year and gave up and wish you guys could help me out.

It is a Japanese PS (the first play station). The cover of the game is yellow.

When you start the game, you start with a car built by blocks shape of the alphabet "I".
It comes with 4 wheels and a solar energy block.
Without the solar energy your car will not move. and you can assign functions to each wheels. like if you click X it moves forward. and Square to move backwards.

You start out doing missions and by completing the missions you gain more blocks to modify your car.
And you end up with a lot of blocks to even build a plane helicopter or a dinosaur. which are also used to finish missions.

Some missions that I remember:

1- You have to build a car and achieve a certain speed.
2- You have to kick the ball using whatever your create to the hole in a certain time.
3- Races.

That's all I can remember and wish someone could help.
Thanks in advance!!! :)

So I'm PRETTY sure this game is called Bricks, but it's such a horribly generic title, whenever I search for it I get a bunch of other results of games with the same name. I hope someone here will know what I'm talking about. This is what I remember:

It's for PC. There are few bricks on each level. They're mostly grey with patterns on them, surrounded by a box of purely grey bricks. You control the bricks with patterns. The idea is to match two or more with the same pattern to make them disappear. Once you match them all you move on to the next level.

That's all I remember. Please help!
Bumping this this in case.

Hey guys, i am trying for years to remember the name of a really old 3D game for PC. So i guess it was in DOS and i think the graphics were vector like or even Vector not sure. You were this polygonal aircraft flying around earth, taking missions to destroy random stuff, all polygonal, the detail i remember is that by killing various enemies they would drop different colored ojbects and if you took 2-3 of the same type or even certain combinations you would get some power ups. One more detail i remember is that if you got destroyed you would spawn at your initial place perhaps and if you run pretty fast you would get your own powerups again.

EDIT

It is not Descent or Terminal Velocity or Fury 3 ..

So my first reply didn't get answered, i'll try again and give more details.
- PS1 Game
- You play a Orange Monkey in a sort of raincoat and a blue rat/cat(unsure if it's a cat or rat) that manuvers a slingshot.
- It's a shooting game.
- I remember a scene where you are on a train shooting guys(?)

I really want to play this game back, any clues about the game can help me remember so if you have an idea please say so.

I am looking for an old pc game I used to play in my childhood, I got only some vague memories left because I was very young. So it's not very a detailed explanation.

I remember that it was some sort of pacman look-alike game which had various types of balls floating around the screen. Colored balls especially green ones with all a different sort of way to move.

Also I remember some sort of skull ball with a long back head. The background was black and it was a 2D platform not 3D as I recall. I think I played it around late 90's with windows 95.

I think it looked a bit like this: http://image.dosgamesarchive.com/screenshots/supaplex2.gif

That is all I can remember.

Help would be much appreciated. I am really driven to find this game to bring back some good old memories!

Thanks in advance,
Cheers!

Hi people,

I was wondering. What was that game where a spider walks on the edges of the screen and needs to cut the middle of the screen in order to gain ground. If the spider is touched by some of the enemies while not being on the edges of the screen, it loses one life. The game always shows the percentage of ground that the spider has already conquered. When it conquers ground enough (never less than 80%), then you go to the next level.

it's one the endless Qix clones out there :) (Here's a list: http://wiki.selectbutton.net/genre:qix-alikes )

( But basically something like this: http://cdn8.staztic.com/app/i/1704/1704380/tarantula-vs-snake-1-2-s-386x470.jpg )
