Can you guys help me with this game...?
I used to play it on my windows 98. I can't remember much about it but you could travel to different locations around the world and you had to find a guy and put him in prison. that's pretty much all i can remember about it.

It'd be great to find this game as it was one of my favourites

There's this one uber hard game I played on the NES a long time ago. It was sort of like a dungeon crawler game with the top-down view perspective. The first room you started off in had kind of like an indentation or large dent on the tiled floor, and if you walked on it, a worm-like monster would come out and eat you. If you got past the first room, you were introduced to a hallway full of arrows that would shoot out either in intervals or when you stepped in a particular location. Needless to say, I didn't get passed the hallway of arrows, so I dunno any more beyond that. I think the cartridge looked like a wizard was on the front, but I can't be too sure.

I wonder if anyone can figure that one out.
Why does this sound so familiar?
You play a wizard (like with long beard and robe) and fight with a sword?
First real enemy was an orc?
But what I am thinking of is isometric 3/4 view, not top down.
I can't remember the name of it though. It's buried in with like over 100 other games I own. *sigh*

Hi guys,

I've been looking a long long time for a game I used to play. Hopefully you guys know which one.
It was a game made for, I believe, Windows 95. It was a fantasy themed turn based strategy game. I remember it looked like one big map and you started with one city. Every other city had to be conquered. You had all sorts of units even myth units like gryphons. You could play against a lot of cpu or human opponents. Around 8 I believe.

I am trying really hard to remember more about it, but somehow thats all I've got. I played this game for hours at an end. Hopefully you guys (and girls) know what I am searching for.
Could it be either?
Heroes of Might and Magic (there's sequels to it too).
Age of Wonders.

I dont have a PSX but i will try to get the PC version to see if i can get it running again. Thank you so much
If you do, please let me know how.
I tried getting it to work on a w7 64-bit system, only way I know how is to install the Ultimate edition's (free of charge) XP mode, but that's questionable as well as it was designed for w98 I believe. The graphics tend to screw up and sometimes the game just hangs and dies.

I never made it past the first trip to 'the tower' and the first (real) dungeon I think.

If you like this, you should see if you can get your hands on DRAKAN: Order of the flame, it's a good substitute that is still being updated (or at least has been until last year)
I will. I just have to find a place to buy it or "acquire" it. I suspect that it will not be easy to get this to run. I wish i had an old machine at home :/ Maybe i should try to build a machine with win XP/ win 2000 as i remember them being good with the older games.

I will look into DRAKAN: Order of the flame thanks for the tip. Youre the man!

Whelp, guess we won't have to figure out how to tweak it.

Looking for a game I played a while back for a brief time before I had to clean my computer. Haven't had any luck finding it again so far. What I remember:

*A (murder?) mystery game.
*Single player only.
*2d art game using an isometric view.
*You had to talk to guests and examine items in rooms to figure out the case.
*Everything was randomized (people in locations, items in locations, criminal) so game was different each time.
*Played it on PC. I downloaded it from somewhere a long time ago but lost both the link and it's name.
*Monotone coloured (if it had colour it certainly wasn't much to notice).
*It's pixel art was detailed enough like old console rpgs.
*As far as I recall it wasn't turn based. You freely wandered around from room to room looking at stuff and talking to 'guests'.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

An old school game sometimes between NES to PS1. You are a small tiny dude that jumps inside a robot to fight, 2D fighting advancing from left to right. And when your robot breaks down you jump out and run to find another before you die b/c you can't do anything without a robot.

Anyone?

THANKS a lot!

Hello folks.
Never posted here, only made an account for this topic specifically.

Some 20-odd years ago I played a demo of a game that I was never able to finish and later on lost in the deep abyss that is my collection of various hard-drives.

All I remember is that this was a dos game, early-to-mid 90's, which resembled an action-adventure type game. I'm not sure if this game had free movement or grid-based movement, but I do know the scheme was a bit like System Shock (e.g. use mouse to aim and interact with the environment, click to move around etc.)

You start off in a near-pitch-black cave, some rather well made rock-wall or brick-wall type textures, with very life-like/photo-realistic sprites. This engine had textured floors and roofings, as well as different elevated sprites, so it must have been mid 90's.

You wake up next to, if I remember correctly, a well and a skeleton and possibly several torches around the room and walls, the cave wasn't just a simple square room but actually had some shape to it. There's a puzzle you need to solve here, or at least an interaction you need to perform which gives you a rifle of some description with about 3-7 shots. Next, a pack of rats attacks the player which he needs to fend off... what happens next, I can't remember. It might even have been the end of the demo.
Don't mean to be pushy and spammy in here, but I just searched the windows' game library since 1985 and I haven't found it. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

-edit:

I like to Add that not only the interaction with the world but also the shooting is reminiscent of system shock.
I believe if the player equips and selects te rifle, the cursor turns into either a set of iron sights or a scope-like crosshair

Hi im trying to remember an old ps2 game that i played in the early days when ps2 was popular but it involved a pirate or some role play guy who finds himself on an island where he becomes acquainted with a young woman and her father for some reason the young woman is wanted by some evil presence and her father is killed so he rescues her from her burning home only to escape on a ship where they sail away to have the ship fixed. The bits and pieces i do remember is the guy gets into a fight with giant posiden statues on a boss level and they end up on another island where they discover a library or laboratory of some sort and they must figure out something there. If anyone can help , i would be very thankful :).

Maybe you guys can help me..

I played this game like a 10 years ago, i think it was something like 3D and colorfull.
The character was something like a monk/wizard, it used a blue vest and had no hair if a remember correctly, his wife or his son got knaped by aliens and he got to go save them. One of the first stages of the game was that he got to rush at a tower and make the rain stop, another stage was that he was in the city when still raining and had to shoot a little kid with an sling. Other stage of the game was in an desert where u drive a car around.

Sorry about my english, hope someone can help me out..

Hello

I'm searching, for an old spaceship 2d fixedshooter(but the textures are 3d),the ship has a "white rope" attached in, and use it to destroy alien ships,by using the arrow's moviment.

I played this game in 1994,i had five 5.25" diskettes, running using DOS.

Sometimes a pack of weapons, appears in the screen, and attach in ship,(laser cannon, missile)

I finished this game in 1994, but I lost it eventually.

This game was made in 90's,I think.

Hi there,

I'm searching for an older PC game that allowed you to explore various habitats of the world (prairies, forests, wetlands, oceans, etc.). You navigate as an eagle, swooping down to the area of your choice with a click of the mouse. Animals and insects specific to the region are there, wandering on and off the screen, and clicking them would bring up information on them. I believe it's associated with either National Geographic or the Discovery Channel. I've searched all over Google, but can't find squat. It's almost like this game never existed. Can anyone help me out?

Hi I'm searching for a game i used to play 'round 1991-94, it was a quest where you play a kid with a backpack, your aim is to please your family i think, but i'm not sure, there's a thermometer on the side of the screen regulating how you're doing, the more it goes up the worse you are, you start off in your room i think, and you can head out to a couple of different scenes- the hallway, the street where there's a school bus and a pond, and that's all i can remember, if anyone seems to remember what the heck i'm talking about, I would really appreciate it.
