There's a certain game which I've been trying really hard to find for several years now.
Firstly, I can't pinpoint the exact year it was made, but I'm certain it was inbetween 1995 to 2005, with it being more likely to be at the lower end of that scale (if I had to be more specific, I'd say 1998 to 2001). It's for windows, and runs at a resolution of either 640x400, 800x600, or 1024,768. I can't remember which, but it was DEFINTELY one of those three (most likely one of the first two).
The game is basically a clone of Solomon's Key (I found this out during my several years of searching for the game based on its gameplay). As such that means the gameplay is basically a puzzle platformer, where you make and destroy boxes, while finding a key which unlocks a door, which you then have to get to. It is such a blatant ripoff of Solomon's Key, that I'm pretty certain some of the levels are downright copies.
It's a very japanese looking game. There are three characters, and I'm pretty certain it allowed you to play upto a 3-player mode (then again, it could have just been a maximum of 2-player mode).
The three characters were all chibi style. The first was a guy wearing jockstraps, he had blueish-purple hair with a redish-pink spiky bit at the front. The second character was a blonde haired girl in a red dress. The third character was a fat balding guy that looked like he had a cold because of his red nose and dozy expression (but who I'm now pretty certain was suppose to be drunk).
Like Solomon's Key, you created and destroyed boxes, although the boxes in this game were more akin to crates (if I'm remembering correctly). You could even destroy certain blocks (which you couldn't create) which had cracks in them, which I'm pretty certain was used for secret areas. Each character also had a special pose when they made a box appear or disappear, but I only remember what the third character did, as it was the most memorable (because it was funny).
He used to pull his pants down with a great big grin on his face. It kinda made him look like he was farting the box out.
Also, in case it helps, I'm pretty certain the ending door you needed to get to, was red and rectangular, with a nice thick brown frame.
The game was rather crass if you ask me. I only remember two enemies. Firstly, the gorillas, who would stand in a single position, unmoving with their back facing toward you, sniggering as drips of some sort of liquid fell down from them (I'm pretty certain they were peeing). The drips would hurt you, and were pretty much a hazard.
The second enemy I remember was the pumpkins, which just rolled around and around, similar to the rolling enemies on Solomon's Key. The pumpkins also made a rather loud noise while rolling about.
I think there might have been zombies as well... but I can't be certain of that (most likely there was).
Also, the game had a level editor, although I remember it being bugged. When you had just put the game on, it would allow you to edit level 51, but if you had played a level, and then went onto the level editor, you'd be able to edit the level you had just played on. By the way, you couldn't get to level 51, because after you completed level 50, the game would end.
I'm also pretty certain there was also a savegame feature.
You could also find these golden medallions, which you could collect. If you used one of those medallions, a picture of a dragon would appear on the screen and all enemies would be destroyed.
Me and my sister both remember calling the game Magic Pocket, although searching that has only ever yielded a weird MS-DOS game.
As you can see, I can remember this game VERY well, and I have looked for this game for many years. This is the first time I've asked for help, because I've just sorta given up. I can't find it, and I think the only way I ever will is if someone else already knows its real name and tells me it.
