i remember playing a ps1 game where i was a blue man (or blue robot that looks like man....something like that) but im sure it wasnt megaman, i know megaman and i played it too but it's not megaman.it was an adventure game and there was fighting too. the most distinguishing feature i remember is that there is one level that i climb a horizontal ladder in a room where the floor is all fire, so if i fall i lose.

Also, at one point during the level, a blue van crashes somewhere, and you could have MP40s and Stielhandgranades, but I can't remember if it was set during WW2. I don't remember anything else.

Third person robot fighting sounds like Virtual On [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_on] (full name was Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, so the "Cyber" bit might be the "Robo" bit you mentioned). I'd thought it was only released for Arcade and Sega Saturn, but according to the wiki it came out on PC too. Era is bang on.

I think it may be Medal of Honor Underground. It has versus mode, it's a shooter and the first level is at night so I'm fairly sure this is the game you're searching for. Google it and tell me if I helped !

Hi! I've been searching for a game that's a really old game for PC. It is sort of a point and click game but not really. I remember that in the beginning you're standing outside of a cave. At this point it is 2d and you see from above until you enter the cave.

Once in the cave it switches to first-person. You have 5 (i think) different characters with different abilities that you're able to swap between (if i remember correctly). There are lots of bugs (actual insects) that you have to fight down there. You can use a slingshot to shoot them, but you also have to collect stones to be able to shoot. You can collect their corpses or maybe it was slime that you collected from their corpses. Anyway, if it rings a bell for anyone, let me know!

Hhm... It might not be it but a game I know of that's not well known that at least partially fits the description is The Divide: Enemies Within.

You played as a girl who starts off in a courtyard with a fountain in the middle. I think the objective of the game is to find SOMETHING...but not sure what. You are able to walk around, and the girl comments on hearing a baby crying in the distance. You can climb up to the roof of a house, and when you get inside through a window, you see a 'treasure chest'... but when you open it, there is a baby inside (who is crying). A woman suddenly appears and tells you to get out. You are then back at the courtyard again. I remember the end of the demo (or ONE of the ends to the demo) was to get to a barn(?) looking structure, and inside is a wine brewery. There is an old woman squishing the red grapes. Then all of a sudden, she is in your face cackling away. AND THAT IS THE END OF THE DEMO. Now, as a kid, I was pretty creeped out...but now I want to know what game it was!!

For some reason or other, I associate the name "Gabriel" with this game, but I've googled it and looked through forums and no one seems to know what the heck game it was!

Any help at all would be appreciated!!

That should be Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.

I played this game a while ago when I was in middle school. Problem is that I didn't remember the name it was. I found it at one point again, but sadly I got lazy and didn't even bother writing down the website it was on.

So basically the game I'm trying to remember is a platform game that you were in outerspace and jumping on one platform to another. The thing is that the ship would constantly keep going faster (I think) so it made it hard to actually plan your jumps at times later in the levels. Pretty much your viewpoint is basically looking from behind the ship as you do all this. I'm trying to remember the name, but so far no good. Can anyone help me?

That's only one from that console generation that wasn't Nintendo exclusive, and wasn't set in Russia for the first mission. The Playstation had cutscenes between missions, which the Nintendo port didn't. That might be what you rememeber.

In the game you are a pilot of a upgradeable vehicle in a futuristic war against insect alien (or alien piloting insect like vehicles).
You also can take with you some scientist to examine surrounding buildings, vehicles or risources to develop new system to upgrade your own vehicle (weapons... locomotion systems...).
One example of upgrading systems are big wheels to cross rivers (to prevent water contact).

I have a really hard one here.

I played this game in a pub in the early 90's (It was next to a cabinet for TMNT and later N.A.R.C). It was a space shooter not too unlike galaga or phoenix, but the ship itself morphed when you got a power up. I', not 100% but I think the ship had purple on it.

I remember playing this game during the 90's (1990-1995), when I was in college.

It was a "3D DOS Game", was in first person perspective, and I am leaning towards it being Sci-Fi.

The one prominent thing I remember is seeing a locked room I could not get into, though you can see into it thru the large windows. Inside was a woman floating, or looking like she was floating, maybe she was on a table. I think she was also bathed in white light.

Not sure if this was like in a hospital someplace, but I get the feeling it might be in space on a ship.

I just found this thread, and was was wondering about an old computer game, I think it was a DOS game. All I remember about it is that it was a sidescroller taking place in some castle and your character attacks with lots of arcing axes. I know it wasn't castlevania...at least I hope not.
